I’ve been a part of the Summer Squad since January and boy am I so thankful for it! This group of ladies have become friends and are helping me on my fitness journey.

This morning we were very spoilt with gorgeous autumn weather so our warm up walk, warm up work out and then run back to our regular spot were all at Long Beach aka my regular walk about 600m from home.

We chatted through the 1km walk to the beach. Did our 10 minute warm up on the sand. And then did a 1 min / 1 min walk run back to our grassy spot at Inner Kommetjie.

Once back at the grass we did a tabata workout and stretch focusing on the core today.

I feel stronger every time I get to my workout (Usually 3 times a week) and I know that it’s what’s keeping me healthy. (You don’t get to bake as much as I do and stay slim without dedicating time to exercise!)

Moving time looks long because I left my watch running during the warm up on the beach. This doesn’t include the full workout back at the grass.

These workouts have also been a great way to recover from my longer hikes and get rid of the lactic acid in my muscles.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy and fit week ahead.
