Wood apple (Bael fruit in Hindi) is South Asia's native fruit. It has been used for nearly 4000 years due to its medicinal properties. Bale leaves are also used in India for worship. Many nutritious ingredients are found in the Bael fruit which is beneficial for health. There are many benefits of Wood apple such as relief from constipation, cholesterol, help in controlling diabetes, help in curing liver disease, etc. In summer, Bael fruit juice is used to relieve the heat. It is also known as elephant apple, and monkey fruit. Its outer shell is hard and pulpy from the inside. Last summer I posted about Bael juice [How to make wood apple(Aegle marmelos) Juice: healthy and delicious](https://hive.blog/hive-100421/@chetanpadliya/qrnyjfeq) This time there is some twist in the recipe and I added banana to make Bale shake. ### Ingredients ***4 servings*** - Bael fruit 2 nos medium size - Banana 2 nos - Jaggery (as a sweetener) - Salt a pinch to balance the taste - Water ### Procedure - Break the hard shell of bael fruit and remove pulp. - Mix this pulp with water and mash with hand. It contains seeds also which are bitter in taste so do not use mixture otherwise its juice will be bitter. - Filter the pulp and repeat the process with some water again. - Transfer in the blender and add banana, jaggery and a pinch of a salt. Blend for a minute. ***Shake is ready to serve***
