Hi *This simple article is not about the pandemic itself, but rather about what we can do in this period.* Coronavirus has been an unpleasant wake-up call of more than one sort to me and many of the people that I know. ***We got the lemons. Should we be making our lemonade now?***

I have noticed that it has such a bad health impact with our current human population being unfit to face this virus, given high levels of general unhealthiness such as diabetes, obesity, hypertension and so on - by-products of our industrialised agriculture and motorized transport. The pandemic has shed a blinding light on our failure to follow the well-established scientific principles of personal health and well-being that includes physical activity and wellness related lifestyle change that reinforces immunity and viral defences. Many of us simply refuse to take any personal responsibility for our health status. Even I have taken large periods of staying inside, instead of doing my daily walks for my spine recovery and get more fitted to treat my psoriasis, doing exercises outside to strengthen my autoimmune system. But it's reassuring that people of all ages are emerging from a year of introspection with a new perspective; ‘It gave me that nudge’. We need to recognize this pandemic as a wake-up call to the world that primary PREVENTION strategies are what we need to focus on. We have been offered a “call to action” to get to healthy body weight, improve body strength and fitness, eat well and get chronic conditions under control. Improving these aspects of your health will boost your immune system and help mitigate the risk of severe illness if you do contract Covid-19 along with improving vaccine immune response. There is so much we can each do to get to the backside of this pandemic. What are you doing to improve your autoimmune system? Thank you so much for reading! ***With friendship and passion for life, @regenerette***
