Hello everyone! Today, I would share a recipe for a pear ginger smoothie. This smoothie is quick, easy, super-healthy and full of all the right nutrients to help you deal with any stress.
Our minds and digestive system are hugely connected, and while we are made aware of it during times of acute stress/excitement (think butterflies in your stomach), they are actually in constant communication with each other. Emotions (good or bad), lack of sleep, eating too quickly (not chewing your food thoroughly), or skipping meals are all just some of the things that can either speed up digestion (think more frequent trips to the bathroom), or shut it to a halt leaving us feeling bloated, heavy and just generally uncomfortable.
Things like smoothies, or soups have the benefit of being easy to digest as the chewing is essentially done for us thanks to the blades of our blender. It settles both body and mind. ### Ingredients 2 chopped pears, 2 Tbsp almond butter, 1 ½ cup unsweetened almond milk, 3 Tbsp hemp seeds, 1-2 Tbsp maple syrup , 1 thumb sized piece of ginger (peeled)
Blend all ingredients on high until mixture is smoothie. Transfer the mixture to a pot and heat over medium-low heat until it reaches desired temperature. Enjoy!
