I love all the gardening updates that the Garden Journal challenge brings! You'll find more information on that in this week's newsletter, along with other highlights bringing great tips and tricks. I hope you enjoy.
Things happening in the community.
The Garden Journal challenge with @riverflows is on for this month. There are still a few more days left if you want to add your entry.
Some highlights of the week
In the garden things don't always go how you hope, so I often think that having a bit of knowledge about wild plants can go a long way. This week @alexanderfarm shares with us ten wild plants you can make your own tea from with some detailed information on each one.
I always enjoy @craigcryptoking's posts on bees and bee keeping, because I nearly always learn something new about these incredible insects. This week he discusses whether to feed or not to feed bees in winter and I like his practical, no nonsense take on it.
When you've only got a small space to garden in, you're not going to be able to supply all your needs, but that doesn't mean there it's no purpose to growing anything. @mrnightmare89 shares with us the purpose behind the plants in his little garden.
If you're a fan of pickles then you might enjoy @thebigsweed's perfected garlic, dill pickles recipe. He's kicked the refined sugar to the curb and replaced it with his very own maple syrup. Of course we don't all have access to our own maple syrup, nor even the bitcoin he suggests as payment if you happen to love the recipe, but I'm sure he'll be generous enough give us some leeway. đ
