How do I keep my mind healthy despite living under stress?
I often do relaxation therapies, meditating is a habit that is part of my life, drinking a good aromatic herbal tea helps me to feel relaxed. However, the burdens that rest on me are so many that these actions are insufficient to free me from the continuous stress that I suffer. However, a great medicine that has benefited me has been the constant support of my friends, all of them women, they have become the best therapy, laughter, confidences, sharing, every moment with them contributes to that tensions dissipate and stress is reduced.
They are certainly not therapists, but they are confidants who are interested in my problems and intervene as far as they can to alleviate the emotional burden I am subjected to. On the other hand, when it is out of their hands, they are just friends who invent any activity to provide me with distraction and good times, which are transformed into pleasant memories that compete against the negative experiences lived during the day.
A dinner, a movie, an outing to the park, a coffee, any activity, no matter how simple it may seem, becomes a good therapy. Even more important is a good conversation, their interest in the things that happen to me leads us to establish long talks that end in motivational phrases that make you forget for a second the complications of life, it is at that moment where I feel fortunate to have them, great friendships that show that being alone is synonymous with self-destruction, and that the company of others is vital to face the abversities of life.
I am an example that the human being was not born to be alone, the influence of others has led me to maintain the firmness that characterizes me, the value of a good friendship is reflected in the demonstrations of my friends to me, in my opinion, the best antidote against stress are them. I can affirm that, friends help us to keep us mentally and/or emotionally healthy, something fundamental for us to enjoy a good mental health and thus, free us to a certain extent from the continuous stress to which we may be subjected.
