Hello.
My father asked me if I could make it for him that he hasn't eaten bulgur pilaf for a long time today. I told him I could do it during lunch. I love to eat pilaf. Especially the recipe made with rice is among my indispensables. Doctors say that it would be better to consume bulgur pilaf for health. Because rice contains starch, it can be harmful for weight gain when consumed too much. That's why, now, when I want rice, I tend to bulgur. An easy to digest, healthy and satisfying recipe. I hope bulgur is sold in your country. I want you to try this flavor.
Materials Needed
-
2 glasses of Bulgur (measured in a 200ml glass)
-
3 Glasses of Water
-
2 Medium Tomatoes
-
1 Large Onion (I used two since my onions are small)
-
1 Green Pepper (hot peppers may prefer hot peppers.)
-
1 teaspoon of pepper or tomato paste
-
3 tablespoons of olive oil
-
Salt
After peeling the skins of the onions, I chopped them finely. Some prefer to grate onions for convenience. Do not grate them. Finely chopping makes it more delicious.
poured olive oil into a not very deep pot and turned on the stove. I added chopped onions on it. For a while I mixed them until I died
After the onions, I also chopped the peppers into small pieces. I added them to the lightly roasted onions and mixed them.
I stir-fry until the peppers and onions are roasted. They need to die a little.
I added a teaspoon of tomato paste to the roasted peppers and onions. I mix it well until it's identical.
I roast it on low heat for about 3-4 minutes.
Then I added 2 glasses of bulgur which I washed and strained and mixed again.
After washing and peeling the tomatoes, I cut them into small pieces. I couldn't add a picture here because I forgot to take this stage. I added the tomatoes to the pot.
Finally, I added 3 glasses of warm water to the bulgur. Then I poured salt. Adjust the salt according to you. I used 2 dessert spoons.
In order for the bulgur to brew, I close the lid of the pot and set the bottom of the stove to the lowest setting. I don't open the lid until the water drains.
If the water suddenly evaporates and evaporates, the bulgur will not cook. Be sure to cook it on low heat. Keep an eye on the pot. If the water runs out and the bulgur is not cooked, it will be enough to add half a glass of water again. Do not add too much so that it is not watery.
Now Our Bulgur Pilaf is Ready!
Enjoy.
While we were having our lunch, we also fed our lovely guests. These cute birds are constantly coming to the window. We fed them from the bulgur left in the package. They are very timid so I tried to shoot video secretly.
I love birds. When I look at them, I see freedom and peace.
Thank you in advance for reading and supporting.
STAY WITH LOVE
