Some would finally speak up. Got loss themselves then realizes things after.
There are just experiences that we cannot put into words and cannot explain even the simplest form of our suffering that we felt today, but most of those hardships and evil thoughts should be let go. We may think that it may haunt us down and put us in a state wherein it felt like rubbing salt in our fresh wounds, but to become mature, we needed to be brave. Learn to let go of things and learn to face the fears that make you down or those that make you gave up on the things you initially love.
This generation is the epitome of a free yet chaotic era. We learn to be curious and started seeking a response to questions that were left a void with answers. We have a lot of things going on inside our minds. We have many issues that in the past don't matter or do not even concern any person. The world becomes cruel each day that everyone in our generation today becomes woke and delves into something they shouldn't. With the advent of technology and modernization, social and personal issues have mixed up. Tainting the serenity of a human being's healthy brain. Emotional problems no longer exist to the person who is only suffering but slowly affect the people surrounding them. Obstacles are not easy to solve. We have heard many people struggling over issues that have mostly taken their lives for the past years. It is greatly inflicting pain to those they left behind and slowly radiating thoughts alike to end their angst in a way convenient to their liking.
Challenges and hurdles are intended to be solved.
Fears are supposed to be conquered.
Depression is meant to be taken seriously, not as a joke.
Most of the problems that we encounter are consequences that arise because of our wrong actions or some that we have decided impulsively. These are to test us, to give us the liberty to weigh our capabilities of handling everything that may come to us. At the end of this, some who had caught interest may have a different approach. They might think that we have other problems, that we are not all alike in handling heartaches. Some would hate us as if we are saying that everything is easy- that everything has its reason and purpose when they are little by little breaking. At the very end, when we are about to lose courage and abandon hope, we should look back to the old days that we tried fixing up ourselves and straighten our mindset, to the years that we had passed through, and to those challenges that we had undergone to reach the stage that we are currently in.
As the aforementioned phrases above, this place is no longer suitable for a living- where we can feel safety, peace, and love. But above all, it is still a place where we grow and learn.
According to Philstar.com, as of January 2019, DOH stated 3.3 million Filipinos suffer from depressive disorders, with suicide rates in 2.5 males and 1.7 males per 100,000. (https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2019/01/17/1885890/doh-its-time-talk-about-address depression).
Again, depression is not a joke. It is okay to be scared and to lose hope. Blame yourself once and others. Hate the world. But ending your suffering is not the best choice, not even a better option.
What we need is to learn to confront ourselves and to help ourselves rise from the ground. What we are asking is not easy. It's no longer a battle between courage and brain. Capability and strength. We are now dealing between the thin thread amidst sanity and insanity. And it is our only choice if we let ourselves fall or we choose to save ourselves.
Seek help. You are never alone. Together, let us fight and find ways to heal our souls gradually. There are no shortcuts to overcoming what lies in the past.
It has never been one's fault, nor your fault. Smile and continue moving.
