WELLNESS is indeed a big deal and a topic that deserves considerable attention. And who doesn't want to be well in both body and mind.

Hello and welcome everyone to a new initiative I'm involved in. In fact, this new Club just launched last Wednesday August 11th. It's hosted by @shanibeer and called:

Wednesday Wellbeing Club

In her post, Wednesday Wellbeing Club, @shanibeer explains her new Club's concept and how she modeled it after the weekly Saturday Saver's Club in which she runs over on the @eddie-earner account. I'm also a member of the Saturday Savers Club.

@shanibeer also explains how the Club will benefit both her, members of Hive, and anyone who wants to join in. The Wellbeing Club is for all who want to change their lifestyles.

When I first read @shanibeer's goals, I felt an immediate connection. She states:

"I'm aiming to lose 6kg in that time with the intention of improved health benefits and the opportunity to reduce medication."

I agree with her as the driving force for me as well is the reduction of the medications I take through more healthy eating, exercise, and other habits that will affect my well being.

Here's how the Wellbeing Club will work:
  • Start of Club: August 11, 2021;
  • Duration: 15 weeks (until Wednesday, November 24, 2021);
  • Goal: @shanibeer's goal is lose 6kg (or 13.2277 pounds); improve health benefits; and the opportunity to reduce her medication utilizing her :
    RULE of 5:
    1. Lose (500 grams or as much as you'd like each week; or your own goals)
    2. Enjoy 5 x 30 minute sessions of physical activity.
    3. Eat 5 x 80g portions of fruit and vegetables each day.
    4. Get 5 nights x 8 hours sleep.
    5. Spend 5 x 30 minute sessions of connecting or creating.
  • Club's Concept: Rule of Fives or a Rule of One or any number up to Five.
    YOUR GOAL - anything you choose, for example: other health goals; being more active, reduce or quit smoking, getting more sleep; and
    YOU OWN RULE OF "One to Five"

  • Weekly check-in each Wednesday. This can be either writing your own post each week or just leaving a comment on each week's Wellbeing post sharing your week's progress or how week turned out.

  • Receive Hot Wellbeing Tips in the official Wellbeing Club post.

  • Opportunity to earn EDS Tokens for your comments

I have already advised @shanibeer that I will join the Wednesday Wellbeing Club. I haven't yet decided how many rules I will implement. It will probably not be more than three to achieve each week.
