Did you know it's not just the countryside you can get great foraging finds but there are some serious nutrient dense foods to be found on the British coastline, we went for a recent beach trip to Fairlight cove, I will share more on the rest of the trip in some other posts when i can work my through all the huge amounts of images I took! Here is some sea kale. It was surprisingly thick and dense and tastes a little bit like cabbage more than kale. Some of it's health benefits include: Improved digestion Boosts the immune system due to its high levels of vitamin C

Sea beet is very much like spinach in texture, it is full of health benefits which include: Promoting a Healthy Thyroid due to high levels of iodine Detoxifying the body, Sea beets help in the removal of waste products and poisonous substances because they contain dietary fiber. According to studies, various sea vegetables such as sea beets also help clear out certain toxic metals from the body. Helping to normalise hormones

We also found some rock samphire aka Sea fennel. It's health benefits include: Antioxidant benefits which can help neutralize the damage caused by free radicals, because of this it is often an ingredient in a number of skin care products. Rock samphire has highly regenerative properties and can help improve skin tone while combating wrinkles and ageing. It is also applied to the skin to help reduce the appearance of scars and cellulite.
