This is my favorite scrub recipe. Pink Himalayan Sea Salt Scrub is great for smoothing and soothing feet, knees, and elbows.

## What You Need: - Virgin coconut oil - Pink Himalayan sea salt (look for the fine crystals) - Epsom salt - Honey - Essential oil ## How to Make Salt Scrub: 1. Heat the coconut oil in the microwave in 10 second increments until melted to room temperature. Stir between each heating. There should be no solids. 2. Pour the coconut oil over the pink Himalayan sea salt, epsom salt, and honey. 3. Add 10 drops of your favorite blend of essential oils. 4. Stir well to combine. Transfer to an airtight container and store until use.

My recipe for salt scrub makes about 2 cups. Be sure to keep it sealed tight and it will last for many months. If you want your salt scrub thicker, add more salt. If you want it thinner, add more coconut oil. **My favorite part?** You can leave it scented or unscented by adding your preference of essential oils. For my recipe, I used healing eucalyptus essential oil. It smells amazing. To use, rub a generous amount of the scrub onto your feet, knees, and elbows. Gently massage the pink Himalayan salt and coconut oil into your skin. Rinse with warm water to reveal smoother skin. Be careful when in the tub; the oil can cause slippery surfaces. ## Salt Scrub Ingredient Benefits: - Coconut oil is hydrating and nourishing to your skin. It also helps reduce inflammation and has anti-bacterial properties. - Pink Himalayan sea salt has known therapeutic benefits. The crystals are loaded with minerals, and when small enough, can be absorbed by your skin. Himalayan salt also helps to deep cleanse your skin. - Epsom salt is a well-known topical treatment to soothe tension and achy skin. The grit of the epsom salt helps to slough away rough, dead skin cells to reveal fresh skin. - Honey helps slow down aging because it is full of natural antioxidants. Plus it moisturizes your skin for a healthy glow. - Essential oils can improve skin’s vitality. Each type of essential oil has unique properties, and should be researched for maximum benefit. The best essential oils for use on the skin are lavender, lemongrass, tea tree, chamomile, neroli, eucalyptus, and frankincense.
