Hey everyone. If you have read my two previous posts you would know that I talked about two different ways to naturally beat seasonal allergies. The first part talked about some of the benefits of taking Local Honey that was in the raw and unfiltered form [Outsmart Seasonal Allergies Part 1](https://steemit.com/health/@pbgreenpoint/outsmart-seasonal-allergies-part-1). The second post talked about the benefits of taking probiotics to beat seasonal allergies [Naturally Outsmart Seasonal Allergies Part 2](https://steemit.com/health/@pbgreenpoint/naturally-outsmart-seasonal-allergies-part-2). Today I will be continuing the list for part 3. Lets get to it...

Today's natural ingredient to beat seasonal allergies is Turmeric. Turmeric contains curcumin, which is a compound that contains anti-inflammatory properties that inhibit the release of histamine, allergic response, and decreases oxidative stress. If you look closely at over the counter medicine found in the pharmacy, you will see that many allergy medicines contain "anti-histamines" to help with the symptoms of allergies. Replace the chemical medicine with natural turmeric. Curcumin, the compound found in turmeric, has been shown to increase nasal airflow and support the immune response in people with allergies. Tip: combine turmeric with fat and black pepper to increase the absorption and availability of its active ingredients. This could be as simple as adding coconut oil or coconut milk to your meals when using turmeric.

To reiterate the first three posts to naturally beat allergies, we have local honey, probiotics, and turmeric. These are three out of four ingredients listed for the Probiotic-Enhanced Golden Milk that I listed in the first post. The recipe is 1 cup of Plain flavord Kefir (yogurt drink with probiotics), 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon (depending on sweetness taste) Local Honey (raw and unfiltered), 1 teaspoon Grounded Turmeric, 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of Coconut oil (healthy fat), and a pinch of pepper. Puree all ingredients in a hi speed blender and enjoy!

Well thanks for stopping by. I will see you again soon. I used Clean Eats Magazine as a reference for this article. The author is Lisa Turner. I hope you enjoyed.
