I’m quite the hedonist and find it somewhat hard to stick to healthy habits, even though I know very well how much better I feel when I make good choices. I don’t move enough, I don’t socialise as much as I should and my eating habits are all over the place. I do like the healthy stuff and I know it makes me feel good, but I’m so so lazy and I don’t care enough to keep up with all the healthy choices more than a few days. Thanks to my genes, I can get away with this, at least on a surface level. There are things I wish to change and am working towards healthier habits. Living alone really is not the best way to have a healthy life because there is nobody to keep you in check and tell you that it’s time to eat a proper meal, take a long walk or put down the caffeine and switch to water. I have a few pretty simple short term goals in the health department, one is to eat more but eat healthier and more diverse foods, the next is just walking more, I’d say about 30km per week would be something I should be able to do pretty easily, and the last goal is to stretch myself so much that I can do a split. I’ve never been able to do that, not even when I was a dancer, and I’ve always thought it’s a really cool trick. You’ll be the first to know when I reach that goal! In the past weeks I’ve been doing a lot of streching while drinking my morning coffee and watching some youtube videos or listening to audiobooks, that’s a really nice way to start a day. I don’t eat breakfast because I feel neuseus if I do, it’s always been like that, but I like a big breakfast after I’ve been up at least for a few hours. The weather is getting warmer soon so I can start using the balcony again and also go for longer walks without freezing my fingers while either doing photography or playing Pokemon Go, both of which are basically only things that get me to walk really long distances.
