Our Squirrel Gardeners!

Ever seen a squirrel eating a maize (corn) cob? **I will show you how the squirrels plant their own food in our garden!** Yes, indeed as they are very wise little critters and we regard them as free landscaping specialists, as they convert our garden into a food pantry. For themselves and for the little birds that pop in here. You can see that while he is eating, he is also surveying the next planting session.

Popped around to have a look at the other side of the garden.

But, first he wanted to finish his meal.

Here was another one begging for a peanut.

So easy to get a peanut here, but I knew that the squirrel was going to go and plant the nut.

Look at this, as here is one of their peanut planting sections. These are all peanut bushes!

Now back to the maize cob squirrel and he had a fresh cob up in the tree.

The green "flowers" at the front are in fact growing maize (corn) plants.

And That's All Friends! The lesson from nature is that if animals can plant their own food, then why do we not also plant our own food? No land is not an excuse, as a growing box can be placed anywhere and only one box can deliver fresh and healthy organic food for a family. Something here to think about methinks! Note: As usual all photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS Bridge camera. We hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and thank you for visiting a post by @papilloncharity
