I have to admit I was pretty nervous about weighing myself this morning. As soon as I woke up I felt a little anxious at the thought. I weighed-in Friday at 278 pounds even, this morning after a weekend of food and drink, 286.6 pounds. I put on 8.6 pounds over the holiday weekend. 😕 This was pretty much what I expected. Here's a loose breakdown of what I ate and drank over the weekend. Friday Dinner - Pizza and Chicken Wings, 3/4 pint of bourbon mixed with coca cola throughout the evening. Saturday - Big breakfast, egg sandwich, hash brown potatoes,french vanilla coffee with whipped cream. -- Lunch - left over slice of pizza, started drinking beer. I really wanted to abstain from beer, but when I went to the beer store my favorite local micro brew was on special and on display as soon as I walked in. I couldn't resist. I bought a fifteen pack, and lost count by the end of the day. Stayed up with my brother in-law after the fireworks drinking beer. There were 2 left Sunday morning, not sure how many he drank 🤣 -- Dinner - Sausage sandwich, bacon potato salad (Yeah, definitely could of made a healthier choice there!) Chili dog, canolli for desert, followed by many more beers! Sunday - Italian sausage and egg sandwich for breakfast. -- Lunch - Chili dogs with cheese. -- Dinner - More Chili dogs with cheese. (It'll be awhile before I have these again, I was planning on getting my cheat days worth 😂) Drank several vodka and tonics throughout the day, and some chips and dip as snacks. So as you can see I definitely didn't restrain myself. There are still plenty of leftovers from the weekend, but I'm done now. I think there are a couple interesting points to make here though. For one thing, when I did a similar experiment on Keto I gained back almost twice the weight. I wish I would of documented my Keto experience better. I do remember gaining over 15 pounds on a cheat weekend, and ate considerably less food. It also took forever to get it back off. I also think due to the amount of alcohol consumed, a lot of this weight will come right off. Water retention and alcohol are probably a huge factor in the weight gained. I'm interested to see how fast this weight comes off now. I woke up this morning and got right back on track. Black coffee for breakfast and 4 hard boiled eggs. Getting ready to run a mile or so on the treadmill now, then go shopping for some healthy food. My next weigh-in will be Sunday morning. I remember on Keto it took me almost 3 weeks to lose the 15 pounds from the cheat weekend. I don't think that will be my experience with this diet. I guess I'll get a general idea after this week. Well that's it. The Dood's back on the diet wagon. Again, I'll be ecstatic if I can just get myself back into the 270's by Sunday. I'm guessing a lot of this weight is water weight from alcohol consumption, so I think losing over 6 pounds is doable.
