Life is short

There is an adage in Yorùbá language that says “èmí isé gùn ju èmí èèyàn lo” (I.e: work life is usually longer than a person’s life).

I’m not sure I translated that accurately but the adage simply means that a job will still be in existence even after the job-doer dies. No one is indispensable, no matter how hard-a-worker you are.

Employment should teach you that if you died today, their will be a replacement even before your body is put in the ground.

A job is important, show up at work, play your part, do your best but let your health and sanity be your top priority.

•Drink WATER 💦
•Check your BP 🩸
•Go on WALKS/EXERCISE 🏃‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️ 🧘 🚶‍♂️
•EAT healthy 🍱
•Get enough REST 🛌
•Get adequate SLEEP 😴
•Do away with SUGARY DRINKS/SODA 🥤
•Do regular CHECK-UP 👩‍⚕️ 👨‍⚕️

You owe yourself that! People will miss you (sure!) but they will move on. — let that sink in.

How was your day today?🤗
