My Health Progress

Chapter 2

Sorry in advance for the body shot, but I am in disbelief and glad I snagged a picture of myself almost a year ago. Seeing this picture makes me realize how I completely gave up on myself and a healthy diet back then. It's no wonder my body was susceptible to Candida overgrowth after taking Cipro.
The other thing to note here is that this body change was almost purely diet since I only started working out again in the past 2 weeks! It's amazing how a diet modification can have such drastic changes on your body and health. I've been monitoring my resting heart rate as well. Back then it was always in the high 70's even 80 range and my current average RHR is usually below 50 and sometimes even in the mid 40s. It seems to have improved since I've been running 6 miles every other day.

Key Updates to My Protocol

Over the past three months I've mentioned I was on a Candida diet, and for me that means I eat only veggies (green) and one meal with meat (organic) at night. Some Candida diets say it's ok to eat fruit and even unsweetened yogurt but I don't agree with that at all, mainly because it's too risky if you're serious about getting your symptoms cured for good, don't take the chance in feeding the yeast. There is a difference from seeing improvements in your symptoms and getting an overall cure. I know for a fact that my body can be cured from this because I've done it. It's because I was successful 3 years ago that nothing can convince me otherwise because I know my protocol will eventually work. Today I've felt better than I ever have in the past three months when it Candida crept back into my life, but I know it's not completely gone yet. When it finally is eradicated I also plan to start a 2 week clock and continue this just to be safe! Some key updates to my protocol that I didn't mention in my [original post](https://hive.blog/hive-120078/@cryptoknight12/my-cure-for-auto-immune-issues-linked-to-candida-overgrowth) are the following: * **Amino Acids** - These are building blocks for proteins and a supplement I took during my last protocol because I was working out religiously then. I didn't introduce them early on this time because I thought I could cure it without working out... silly me! * **Hot Yoga** - Since I'm not nearly in the shape I used to be in, I can't work out as long and sweat as much. Back then I was working out 5-6 times a week for at least 1 hour. I don't have the energy to do that now and when I have my son that's difficult for me to do. Hot Yoga has been a great alternative solution, it would be nice to just go to a Sauna but they're all closed. * **Working Out** - Every other day I've been running at least 6 miles a day. I try to run for at least 45 minutes because it puts your body in a phase where it really ramps up the immune system. Since my Candida got into my prostate, I have to focus on how to get blood flow there so the antifungals I am taking find their way there. A 45 minute run is said to be equal to a 15 minute prostate massage. * **Walking Outside** - On days I have my son, I've been walking for at least 45 minutes to also help with blood circulation. * **Lemon Water + Aloe Vera Juice**: 30 minutes before breakfast and dinner I've been drinking this concoction and I think it has been helping with leaky gut which was likely how the Candida got into my prostate in the first place.

Next Update

Tomorrow if I am completely symptom free I plan to start the two week clock... I'm so ready to start eating normally again. I can't wait to drink coffee, eat pizza, have a beer with friends. I haven't been going out at all because I know I'll be tempted and I can't take any risks. The best feeling ever will be when I am cured and hanging out with my son. I'll literally feel like a new man!
