# Good morning dear Steemians, how are you? Today I bring you a surprise juice recipe. A natural and very tasty juice that contribute to improve your health. I hope you like the post and if I have something to improve or have any suggestions let me know in comments. Let's go to the post itself: ## The best way to get very easy your daily portion of fruit! ### The medlars are small fruits of the tree of the same name, are small, oval and yellowish, have a sweet taste with a hint of acidity. They have a rich flavor and are very satiating, in addition to refreshing, contain many vitamins and minerals, which are beneficial to health.

Here are 4 benefits of medlar: ## 1. It is rich in fiber Contains a lot of soluble fiber, about 2% of its weight, contains pectin, this works as a natural laxative and helps to conserve moisture in the colon. It also protects the colon membrane from toxic elements. It is ideal for people who suffer from transit or slow intestinal motility. ## 2. Cholesterol The medlar helps to reduce the levels of high cholesterol thanks to pectin, because it reduces its absorption in the body and helps eliminate it through excretion.

## 3. Vitamins and antioxidants The medlar contains in good amounts vitamins C, E, B1, B6, B2, B9 and A, also antioxidants, this helps to make stronger the mucous membranes and your skin. At least 20 medium medlars. Two spoonfuls of Stevia or if you prefer 4 spoonfuls of common sugar. Vanilla essence to taste Chopped ice Water 250 cm3 How it's done: First we wash and cut the medlars in two parts, we extract the seed or stone (which contains poisonous substances, you should never eat the medlar seeds like apple seeds), then we add water, ice, vanilla essence and seedless medlars in the processor and process until it is finely liquefied, then we pass through a sieve or strainer, reserved in the refrigerator and then you can add stevia or sugar before consuming.

# Reminder: always extract the seed from the loquat never eat it, it contains poisonous substances.

Sometimes, the best natural medicine is taking away bad things from your life

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
So for my post for the natural medicine contest is really talking about changing old habits. October was the year mark for quitting nicotine in all forms. This change alone has helped me in so many ways. 20 years of smoking and using tobacco took its toll on my health but I have taken it back! And for being on a role, I have also recently dropped another 20 year habit, caffeine! That one I almost think has been more difficult than the cigs. Being labeled as “ADD” in school, I have been on some sort of speed for over 20 years. Been through the hard stuff all the way to about 4 or more cups of coffee a day. But that has been recently irradiated out of my life! So now, my biggest obstacle is to get back to a regular workout. My diet has been getting better, although nowhere near as healthy as it should be, but hey, gotta make daily strides. Rome wasn’t built in a day as they say, lol. So my plan is a good healthy mostly raw diet, exercise, lots of meditation, oh and some really good cannabis, lol. Be Cool, be real, and abide

EAT CLEAN

https://steemitimages.com/0x0/https://d1vof77qrk4l5q.cloudfront.net/img/98afb374923a47bfc5f8a2da77d67d090076eaf4.jpg

I grew up with an ‘eat clean’ concept- eat everything on a plate, do not waste and wash! Nowadays, it means totally different due to our unhealthy lifestyle. Eat Clean is more on healthy eating habits especially on the discipline of what food you put in your mouth. That means NO sugar, NO fats, cut on carbo etc ...at least that’s what my wife instructed me to do 😱. So ended up with this breakfast today- salad veggie with cucumber and cherry tomatoes mixed with seedless grapes (gotta taste a bit of sweetness- not sure if that’s approve😳) added with 2 boiled eggs sprinkled with black pepper and dashes of olive oil and salad cream - there were 3 in a fridge so I mixed all together 🤔. I took a nice photo of my breakfast and forwarded it to my wife and she gave me 😊👍. Well it’s my first day of Eat Clean. The combination actually taste good and I love it. You should try! Natural Medicine & Inner Blocks: Collaborative Challenge! Win Lotus Tokens & up to 60 Steem!

https://files.steempeak.com/file/steempeak/naturalmedicine/OWFfBRkG-image.png
How many times have you *thought* about taking on a new habit or practice or diet or *anything* you knew would help you grow into the best *YOU* , only to shelve it or put it off? Have you ever taken on a new therapy only to realise it wasn't for you? Have you ever felt sick enough that you knew if you didn't take on advice to change that you'd only get more sick? This challenge asks you to consider the *blocks* that you have experienced, or might be experiencing, to a way of life, thinking or being that is more nourished, supportive and healthy. It's brought to you by both @innerblocks and @naturalmedicine, and there are lots of prizes on offer! Both of us are contributing 30 Steem each to the prize pool, with some additional LOTUS tokens to be won!

image.png

We're not asking you to 'fix' yourself in a way that might suggest there is something 'wrong' with you at all - only to consider the barriers that might prevent your inner lotus blossoming. Use #naturalmedicine and #innerblocks as one of your first 5 tags. It doesn't matter which one you choose to put first. We're all in this challenge together! Some ideas: - Write about a time where you were desperate for change in your life, and discovered a 'medicine' that brought about that change (remember, it doesn't *have* to be a 'plant' medicine - it could be a changed habit, physical exercise or a new way of seeing the world) - Write about a 'medicine' you WANT to adopt, but discuss the reasons why you're finding it difficult to do so. What help might you need? What barriers or blocks stand between you and the medicine? - Write about a time where you adopted something you *thought* might be a good medicine, but in the end, changed your mind/strategy for whatever reason - Write about someone you know that refuses to take upon a 'medicine' that you know can help them. You can write about your physical/mental health, or you might like to choose something that is more environmentally focussed - for example, what practices could you adopt on your homestead that could restore health to the land? Be as creative as you like with your approach to the challenge! **Make sure you drop the link to your post below. Only entries that do this will be considered.** # The Prizes - The first 20 resteems of this post will be awarded .25 Steem each - Each entry will be rewarded with LOTUS TOKEN - A week 1 wrap up post will reward one winner with 100 LOTUS - The final entries will be judged by @riverflows, @freedompoint and @freedomtowrite. The prize pool of 60 Steem will be distributed as we see fit between all entries. **Natural Medicine will also be burning the equivalent winnings, matched by @lotuscoin, at the end of the contest, to help support the Lotus economy.**
