Vegetables are mostly part of plant that we humans consume either raw or cooked and are of good essential nutrients to the human body as well.

Some of this vegetables may include; spinach, beans (green, French, kidney) etc, cucumber, potatoes (white and sweet), pumpkin, onions, garlic and tomatoes to mention but a few.

Vegetables are very strong anti-oxidant that fight against oxidant-diseases, inflammations, cancer and even stress and also help boast our immune systems.

Vegetables are very good source of dietary fibre and are also high in vitamins and minerals as well. It is low in calories but high in vitamin A, B, C, E and K, magnesium, potassium, calcium and iron.

Now, dietary fibre in vegetables help prevent blood cholesterol levels and also reduces the risk of heart disease and as well as obesity.

Another thing is that foods that are rich in potassium are very good because the help the body maintain good blood pressure.

Vitamin A, B, C E and K help keep the teeth, eyes and the skin healthy. Also helping in the healing of cuts and wounds as well.

To cook your vegetables, steam them or use a wok. But do not overcook them because both methods are the same, they destroy enzymes.

In consuming your vegetables add a lot of garlic and onions to it. So eat more vegetables today and remain healthier.
