Today I harvested some Mungbean. Over years I've noticed that not a lot of people know about this kind of bean. Mungbeans are the legumes of the vigna radiata plant and it is mostly used in the indian cuisine. India is the biggest producer of this legumes. Mungbeans are very nutritious and can be used in many ways. One way to use it is as [Dahl](https://www.jan-magazine.nl/health/a27478285/ayurvedische-recepten/). Mungbeans are extremely healthy, they have a very high proteinlevel and they are rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals. **Some benefits of consuming those beans are:** - Reducing the risk of chronic disease - Reducing risk of heart disease - Lowering LDL cholesterol levels - Lowering blood pressure - Stimulate the digestion This is what the vigna radiata plant looks alike. I have grown them my own because I do like "oerdie dhal" and [Bara](https://www.fajalobi.nl/bara-zachte-en-luchtige-peulvruchtensnack) Another reason why I grown this my own is because of the fact that I'll know what I eat.
