Most of you might not know him, he is a famous face in the Indian television industry. He recently won Big Boss Season 13, has been a part of one of the most famous TV series "Balika Vadhu" on the colors channel and played good roles in a lot of hit Bollywood movies.
Sidharth Shukla dies of a heart attack at the age of 40 (https://www.hindustantimes.com/entertainment/tv/actor-siddharth-shukla-dies-of-a-heart-attack-mumbai-s-cooper-hospital-101630562780558.html)
He is a well-known celebrity and thus is capturing all the news. But what's wrong with our generation? People dying at the age of heart attack is not acceptable. When I was young, I remember relating to heart diseases to old people, above the age of 65 or 70 maybe. But these days, young people, not even mid-age, those in the age group of 30-40 are dying from or suffering heart attaches.
What has changed?
1. Lifestyle - No exercise, late-night movies, and parties have a significant impact on our health.
2. Eating Habits - Junk food, fried food, high-calorie intake. Not eating green vegetables and a protein-deficient diet.
3. Stress - Highly competitive, too much stress to reach the top, earn more and more money to lead a luxurious lifestyle.
4. Environment - Too much pollution, bad quality of air leading to new diseases every day.
What must be done?
1. Adopt a healthy lifestyle - Our daily routine must include at least 30 minutes of workout which could be excercise, gymming or yoga. Cut down on the late-night movies, the day is big enough to watch a 2.5-hour movie. Parties should be restricted to once a week and detox after the party is a must.
2. Healthy Food Habits - Our food habits should be good, having a heavy, nutrition-packed breakfast, comparatively lighter lunch, and early, light dinner is what is suggested by nutritionists. Also, less junk and outside food, less refined and processed food would surely help.
3. Acceptance - We keep running behind luxury and for that, we definitely need to earn more which results in a lot of stress. We should work hard but also spend some quality time with our family and friends, go for small vacations and meditate.
4. Save our environment - Do our part in saving the environment, adopt eco-friendly measures to do things like drive electric vehicles use solar panels to generate electricity, dispose of our waste properly.
Apart from the points mentioned above, there's a huge role that friends and family can play in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We should encourage each other to live a healthy life. Sometimes, we want to do it but there's no motivation. Our loved ones can help us hereby giving us some words of wisdom and encouragement.
Even if we do all of it, still life is too uncertain. One may not die of disease but in an accident or plane crash where they don't have many roles to play. So, live your life to the fullest. Don't hold on to the past and don't save everything for the future. Thrive for a good present, enjoy with your family, eat good and healthy food, play with your children, talk to your parents, you never know what is in store for you!
