Take care of your body - Lotus for Yogis

We take it for granted that we have a healthy body and that it will be that way forever. But the truth is that having a healthy body and a clean mind are a blessing and it is our responsibility and we should be able to keep them that way. We have to remember that the body and mind are an indivisible whole -as Buddha used to say-, and we must keep them healthy, taking full care of them. Through **healthy** (*conscious and non-violent*) **eating**, physical practice of **Yoga** postures, **Meditation**, **Ayurvedic**, **Massages**, among many other available forms that are of natural origin or without chemical compositions developed in laboratories, we can keep our health and our mental cleanliness updated, day by day. On the other hand, we must generate the habit and remember to be thankful for our health, because we never know how long it will last. >Only by having a horrible toothache at 3:00 a.m. can we understand the wonderful miracle of having healthy teeth. Let's not wait until we lose our health to be thankful for it and promote it. ##### Invitation: Take 5 minutes, sitting in a comfortable posture and focus on your breath; inhaling and exhaling deeply, be grateful for the body you have. Contemplate and become aware of the body you inhabit and the wonderful miracle of functioning as it does. Then, go about your regular tasks, knowing that you have the beautiful opportunity to make contact with your body, whenever you wish, simply by turning your attention back to it. This brief exercise can change your life or the life of a loved one around you.
