At first, we need to know about DNA and Neurogenesis.

My Actifit Report Card: June 30 2020

https://usermedia.actifit.io/10c25d38-386b-44c4-a7a6-d4b55ea2fa1c

Today, I went to the office for a very quick visit, for the first time in 3 months. I then returned home and worked from home for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, I went to buy some groceries at the shop. After returning, I took the dog for a walk. Being a young dog, he is still not a very disciplined walker and want to sniff at everything. I suppose we will get there with practice. Stay healthy, stay active and stay safe!

This is literally my fave smoothie right now. Two frozen bananas sliced before being frozen, half oat milk and half water, 5 drops peppermint oil, flaxseeds, cacao, a dash of maple syrup and a scoop of raw vegan protein powder.

This is a wonderful product and a wonderful way to start your day! Probiotics in an of them self or extremely important in the general public is starting to realize how important they are. Of course you can get this through fermented foods such as kombucha or kimchi or even unpasteurized yogurts. With that being said this is another way you can do that extremely easily inconvenient.

It’s extremely healthy a great way to start your day. The only way I could possibly get better as you made it home by yourself. If you’re going to buy a product buy a product like this.

Review: Organic Celery Juice

EF95D119BD3E4869A3A291693DF11A6D.jpeg

The good: It’s organic, it’s healthy, the branding is good, it’s simple.

B21E697218C24734A431D79357CF9B29.jpeg

The not So good: It’s plastic, though if recycled not to bad as all disposables are “not good” and plastic is far cheaper for the consumer. Also it’s not local. We always encourage everyone to buy local, as that is far more sustainable and also supports local businesses instead of huge corporations. It doesn’t taste great but also doesn’t taste bad. It’s more of a health drink than a pleasure drink. I mean how good can just celery and lemon taste anyways! All in all it’s a quality product worth consuming. However making your own or buying local would be ideal!

Optimize & Protect Your Body: Take Your Iodine!

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png

Let us introduce you to the 53rd element on the periodic table: IODINE!

  • Iodine is a vital nutrient that must be consumed daily.
  • 95% of the population does not take enough iodine.
  • Full thrival is severely compromised if there is not enough iodine in the body.

https://steemitimages.com/640x0/https://ipfs.busy.org/ipfs/QmTEFkjsPASZdnpdXkg3PMGQ2grQdWQmbywSoPSDcUkrmv

As a building block for hormones, iodine is a vital nutrient required by every single cell in the body for optimal function.

Iodine is also responsible for:

  • Healthy thyroid and hormone function
  • Regulating metabolism
  • Boosting energy levels
  • Fighting infection
  • Regulating blood sugar
  • Reducing body odors
  • Improving cognitive function
  • Proper development in children and expectant mothers
  • Normal immune function
  • Purifying water
  • Killing parasites, bacteria, mold, yeast, protozoa, viruses
  • Detoxifying heavy metals, halogens, and radiation

Iodine is super important!! It regulates cellular nutrient uptake and waste expulsion, yet 95% of Americans are deficient in iodine.

Almost the entire population is operating at sub-optimal levels for health and wellness day in and day out because they are not providing proper inputs like iodine for their bodies!

While the body needs iodine to optimize every single chemical reaction that takes place, it does not make iodine. You have to include it in your diet--but the standard western food supply is no longer a reliable source of proper amounts of iodine. Modern agriculture practices have stripped the soil of iodine, and health-optimizing levels of this nutrient have not been abundant for decades

Uncooked, unprocessed sea vegetables are one of the only reliable food sources of iodine anymore...but we don’t know a lot of Americans who are consuming raw seaweed on a daily basis.

(A note on iodized salt: Morton began marketing iodized salt to prevent goiter in the 1920s. However, it is not a form of iodine that is very accessible to the body. Additionally, the manufacturing process actually adds toxic substances! While goiter rates did decrease as people consumed Morton's salt, A) more healthful sources of iodine are available, B) many people are encouraged to follow low or no salt diets, and C) even if one takes iodized salt, generally the population is still not consuming the optimal form or amounts of iodine to maximize health.)

The FDA recommends 150 mcg of iodine per day, but this is only the bare minimum to prevent goiter, NOT the amount one needs for real thrival!

Plus, women and expectant mothers need significantly higher amounts, as iodine is vital for proper brain development of the unborn fetus and growing children.

Given the rampant deficiency within the population and its importance to full health, proper iodine supplementation is imperative!

The Japanese population regularly consumes 5,000-13,000 mcg on a daily basis because of their ocean-centered diet, and they enjoy superior health to Americans with lower rates of obesity, cancer, diabetes, thyroid disease, and cystic conditions.

There are many forms of iodine! Some are absolutely vital to health as the body can uptake and integrate them immediately, and others (like elemental iodine) are actually toxic to the human organism.

We’re dedicated to helping as many people as possible! We offer our years of research and hundreds of testimonials to the efficacy of NASCENT IODINE and its power to optimize health and eradicate disease!

We’ll expand on many of these issues in upcoming posts and address specific diseases and conditions that iodine supplementation benefits.

Excellent native fruit Latkan- My 34 Day #IAmAliveChallenge by @flaxz

*Friends, I hope you had a good Monday. But I have had a good day, I have had a lot of fun. I do not know how much you love local fruits? Although I have said before that native fruits are very beneficial for our health.*

IMG_20200629_210525.jpg

*One such nutritious native fruit is Latkan, although it is known to many as the Burmese grape. The top is quite yellow in color when it matures. At this time there is a great demand for this fruit in our country. It is slightly sour to eat, but it is quite tasty. However, it has excellent nutritional value.*

IMG_20200629_210539.jpg

>Lotkan is rich in Vitamin C. Eating two or three peanuts a day during the season mean meeting our daily requirement of vitamin C. In addition, it is rich in fats, carbs, iron and minerals. Surprisingly, it has about twice as many calories as our national fruit jackfruit. [source](https://www.bd-pratidin.com/life/2017/07/06/245347)

IMG_20200629_210542.jpg

*When corona is spreading more and more around, panic is growing in our society, we should try to eat more and more native nutritious fruits to keep ourselves healthy, so that there is no lack of vitamins in our body. It is very useful for us to maintain our physical capacity.*

IMG_20200629_210552.jpg

>There are a lot of different types of vitamin B in Latkan. It contains Vitamin B-1 and Vitamin B-2 10.04 mg and 0.20 mg respectively. As a result, ripe Latkan is very rich in terms of food quality. Latkan contains amino acids and enzymes which are useful in body building and cell health. These ingredients help to increase immunity. [source](https://www.bd-pratidin.com/life/2017/07/06/245347) *However, I am enjoying these, trying to keep myself healthy. This is my 34th day with this competition of #IAmAliveChallenge by @flaxz. Join us and let us know your presence.* Encourage me by your supports and comments. *@sbaby* ____ ____

Leaving The Cave - A Hypersensitivosaurus story that we can all relate to

https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/vincentnijman/PfRJkvY4-IMG_5376.JPG

IMG_5376.JPG

https://images.hive.blog/640x0/https://images.hive.blog/DQmQvQDmMZMesnCKfJnGQmzdr2qsQhPTW4diPJovyJ9ruho/image.png ##### After a lazy day yesterday, with way too little exercise, I decided to make up for that today and walk to the forest and back ( which involves quite some ascending and descending ), a serious workout. ###### In the forest, sitting at a little waterfall, I wrote the following story ( see the notebook snapshots ), I'm sure many of you can relate to this. I also drew my favorite raptor. The coloring was added after the walk. Just now, I added a couple of sentences, to add to the story. Here goes yet another hypersensitivosaurus story:

IMG_5383.JPG

> Hypersensitivosaurus had made a huge mistake, he had hibernated throughout Spring and now it was Summer and dry ( and there was less food ). He had missed an entire season. > Not because he had forgotten to set his alarm, but out of fear, fear spread by everyone around him, especially *[the fear hare](https://peakd.com/naturalmedicine/@vincentnijman/another-brand-new-hypersensitivosaurus-story-that-i-m-sure-we-can-all-relate-to).

IMG_5384.JPG

> Aside from missing out on an entire season, the time of the year known for re-awakening, rebirth, growth and so on, he had gained weight due to all the snacking and lack of in-cave exercise and developed a dry cough, almost as if he'd spent too much time near an active volcano or wild fire.

IMG_5381.JPG

> He felt like and old ~~man~~ dino, an inferior version of himself but, as soon as he left his cave for a short stroll ( ashamed to show his raptor unworthy body to the world ), an ember inside of him started glowing, turning into a small flame. It was still there, deep inside. His energy, his life force. It just needed loads of exercise, starting today. > Hypersensitivosaurus felt a little shaky and it seemed like his usually healthy red had faded quite a bit, due to lack of daylight. > He needed to poke at his internal fire with a stick, to stop it from dying out. His stomach had become so fat though that this action barely tickled him. Poking would not do the trick, more serious measures were needed to keep the fire going. **TO BE CONTINUED** *I shortly refer to the "fear hare" in the above story. For more info on this character, here's two posts that I wrote in March, when the virus was emprisoning many of us ( in The Netherlands ) and you could almost smell the fear. No worries, I like to think that even my stories on serious themes are light and, at times, funny: [The Fear Hare](https://peakd.com/naturalmedicine/@vincentnijman/another-brand-new-hypersensitivosaurus-story-that-i-m-sure-we-can-all-relate-to) Posted three months ago [Another Hypersensitivosaurus story on the fear that I felt hanging in the air, back in March](https://peakd.com/writing/@vincentnijman/the-story-of-superzensitivosaurus-sharing-some-of-today-s-writing)

What Age Would You Choose To Be For The Rest of Your Life?

http://ifttt.com/images/no_image_card.png
For me, probably around 28 years old. You're young, healthy and much wiser than when you were in your early 20s. You have ambition to create something in the world but aren't totally naive like a teenager.

I Needed Some Source Of Good Bacteria

https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/cryptopie/e41FBx3H-Arnold20sunglasses.jpg

Arnold sunglasses.jpg

I had been under Tuberculosis medication for more than a month now and I am certain now that it is affecting my gut flora and fauna. But not quite I guess because I am taking a kind of Lactobacilli in a form of a drink with a brand name "Yakult" and I am just taking it maybe twice a week because I could not drink much of it because it uses some milk as a medium. It really taste nice and I really can drink lots of it if I am not in a restricted diet. Yakult has around 5 billion lacto bacillus bacteria which is what our digestive system neeeds in order for us not to get sick with harmful bacteria present in our guts or intestines.

kimchi4044268_640.jpg

[Pixabay](https://pixabay.com/images/id-4044268/)
__It Will Tae For Me Some Time To Ever Like The Taste Of Kimchi But It IS Also A Good Source Of Good bacteria For The Guts__
We needed lots of good bacteria in our guts so that the bad bacteria would not make much toxins that will make us sick. In fact if we would do a colon cleanse via the anus route or what they call a "Colonics" where they introduce liquid there to make us discharge the contents of the Colon then we will just in a way aerate or colons and then disturb the balance of bacteria in there making the bad bacteria to cause infection if the colonics is not done with good bacteria treatment afterwards.

Yakult_drink.jpg

[Source](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0e/Yakult_drink.jpg) But I do think that colonics is pointless as we would just fill the colon afterwards in a few minutes to hours. What we just needed to do is to continue eating fibrous foods and eat foods rich in good bacteria. Foods with some good bacteria includes Yoghurt, Kimchi, fermented foods or vegetables in brine, in a capsule form, or some special drinks like Yakult, etc. I also like Yakult, it is just fast and ready-made, I can buy it in nearby stores and it works great. You could say that it works well when you fart it doesn't smell bad and often "smell-less" plus knowing that it makes you healthy by actually aiding your digestion because it eats the food you eat and when they die they release the nutrients inside them for your guts to easily absorb. That is why it is better to take good bacteria after you had eaten a nutritious meal full of vegetables because it will ensure that you will assimilate the foods that you consume and not just pass through your guts and wasted away. So for people who are very old with digestion problems and for patients with trouble in absorbing nutrients in their guts then just some good bacteria or some diet with lots of fermented foods in brine is the solution. There are so many ways in fermenting vegetables in particular and you can learn them by watching YouTube videos and you are all set or you can just buy good bacteria capsules or ready-to-drink preparations that I mentioned so that you can start making your guts healthy along with making your body healthy in the process.
