HEALTHY LIVING: MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

Health is wealth is a saying that should be emphasized daily so that people who pay attention to their health. There is no amount of wealth you accrue that you will be able to spend if you are not healthy. Healthy living has to do with both physical and mental health. The physical and metal health both work hand-in-hand in such a way that a change, positive or negative affects the other.

source ###### I will share some tips to follow to maintain a healthy physical and mental lifestyle. 1. Eat balanced diets. For a good health we need more than 30 different nutrients and they cannot be got from one single food. It's important to eat varieties of foods. A balanced food consumed over time will make a difference in your health. 2. Ensure your diet is based on foods that are rich in carbohydrates such as cereals, pasta, potatoes, bread etc. It's not a bad idea to include at least one of these at every meal you consume. 3. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables daily. Fruits and vegetables are very important in our diets as they provide vitamins, fibre and minerals. We should try to include them in our three meals of the day.

source 4. Salt and sugar intake should be reduced because a high salt intake can result in high blood pressure and also increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. You can reduce your salt intake by buying products with lower sodium content and not having salt at the table when eating (some people sprinkle salt on their food while eating at the table which is very unhealthy.

source Sugary foods and drinks should be moderately consumed and it should be occasional. Excess sugar is not healthy. Other tips include: eating regularly and controlling and controlling the portion you consume, drinking plenty of fluids especially water - adults need to drink at least 7 glass of water or more in a day.
