As I walk through the cancer unit,I start wondering why people have to go through this treatment. My aunt was diagnosed with cancer of the intestines last year.she has gone through chemotherapy for six months. I have seen her at her worst and other days are promising. Because of chemotherapy her worst go place is the hospital. Wherever she has to go for review she becomes weak again because of the drug. The strength and hope of these patients makes us appreciate life not because we have it all together but because we are well.They fight each day and hope that tomorrow will be a better day.some have given up because the medication is stronger than they can handle. The weakness and effects which come with chemotherapy are much worse than cancer its self. Loss of hair,change of colour,nausea, lack of appetite,diarrhoea,dizziness and so much more. No one can know the fight those people are fighting unless they are there of which I don't wish any body to be there. I have been taking care of my aunt but seeing her every fight each and every passing day one time made me question the ways of God,but as we all know;Gods ways are not our ways. She has praised and thanked God for every pain and every life she has spent. through every pain,she hasn't questioned God not a single day for her cancer. well,she is a woman full if strength and hope. For a year now,she has smiled to everyone, wished everyone well and hoped for the best. As I sit in the cancer unit today and wait for the doctor to tell us what is next,i read the words that are put up on the walls to get the patients fighting
This is the road no one wants to go but then how about the ones who are already on that road travelling that journey with hope that they will go up to the end of the road. Its sad how the doctor cuts their life short when they tell them how they are left with little time to live. But those with faith like my aunt keep fighting and for each day that they get to live,is a miracle in their life. whereas we get to enjoy every bit of life,be grateful that you are health and for every single day that is there to live Treat every person well,because you dont know the fight they are fighting. Cancer is deadly and painful but if you have a patient with it,give them hope.its not easy taking care of them but neither is it easy for them.no one wants to be in that situation.offer them kindness,hope and love these will keep them strong. Exercise,eat healthy and always let anger and problems off your heart to be healthy,Dont forget to smile. I believe that she will win this fight. Stay safe @mariez
