In Africa generally speaking we have different approach we give to things, subject and life issues, opinions, background and perspective we look at certain things and I will pick point few healthy diet which I will further investigate and work on the food processing and how to prepare them in tutorial form. We also consume more of Natural Green **Vegetables** , **Natural fruits** , **African plates and dishes** such as Pounded Yam this is the most prominent food that is consumed if not all over the West Africa, I will say all over the world entirely with different soup. It can be taken with different soup in different ethic region like in Yoruba tribe we can eat pounded yam with Egusi soup ( melon soup) , Green Vegetable soup prepared with stock fish , With Ewedu soup ( Jute soup). In Ibo tribe it can be eaten with Ogbolo soup and other related drawing soup. Other Yoruba Indigenous Healthy swallow food are Yam flour meal , Plantain flour meal , Semolina , Cassava processed meal , Garri ( Eba) and many others which are not mentioned here. So today, I will be bringing to us this particular Swallow Food processing with steep by step method and instructions on how to 🍛 # How To Prepare **EBA** To me there is just only one way to prepare this type of food , although we have different approach to which we can go about getting this food Prepared. In some places they use even cold water to prepare this **Eba** but in my own case I will go for the hot water. First and foremost I want to start with this, which I called **Raw Materials Needed to prepare Eba** **Materials Needed** - Garri - Clean Pot - Water - Stirring stick - Hand bowl - Another smaller Hand Bowl - Nylon - Cooler ( Warmer) - Heat Source - Hand Packer

These are the raw materials need to make the food a successful preparation and just for a very short time. ## Let Get Started # Step 1.
As an Home-economist , you need to bring out some personal hygiene and also stakes your reasons because I would not make any allegations on anyone but generally speaking it is good to be clean and practice clean and home hygiene. The first thing I did was to bring the empty pot out of the cupboard and wash it clean and with thorough rinsing. Take a look please.

After the thorough washing , I went ahead and pour little quantity of water into the pot and place it on the heat source which is the Cooker. You can see that I have every reason to step up and buy a bigger Cooker, if at all a Electric Cooker to serve well.
This was when I placed pot filled with the water on the fire. Heat Source ( Cooking Gas)

You have to cover the pot as well to make the water boil very faster than you can ever think of. But sometimes if you are the lazy type you can not practice or cook because he/she will be very eager to go outside the four walls of the kitchen. # Step 2.
When the water is still on the fire doing its own work , I quickly made this picture of the White Cassava flakes better known as **GARRI** in West Africa. ( Nigeria). There are few steps to show us how to prepare this Cassava flakes but that will be next time. Believe me.
# Step 3.
This is how the Cassava flakes looks like , for those of us who has never seen such before but dream of it. Today is the D-DAY. I promise 😉.
Cassava flakes, this is particularly done with some precautions. I will go into full details soon. How to prepare Cassava flakes. So as I was saying we have two types of Cassava flakes. _The White_ and _The Yellow_ type. # step 4 .
After the water reached the boiling point which is the 100°©. # Step 5.
You use one of the empty hand bowl to fetch little portion of the hot water so as to serve as back up for your GARRI in the making.

You bring out the Garri itself closer to the hot water on fire. # Step 7.
You start adding the Garri into the hot water slowly but before then you would have off the Cooking Gas. ---

--- # Step 8.
This is how the face will looks like after you might have slowly spread the Garri itself inside the hot boiled water . You will equally noticed something like moldy traces.
# Step 9.
You cover the pot after you might have finished soaking the Garri inside the hot water. You cover it for 10minutes # Step 10.
Add a little bit of left over hot water to it to reduce the strongness and texture of the GARRI.
# Step 11.
You bring out your Nylon where you want to keep them when you are done finally. This is very optional in some cases. # Step 12.

Use your turning stick to improve the quality of the Garri in hot water , this can be very funny and educative but at times when you are one raw materials left , you can as well substitute for another one ,it depends on what is available in your area.
You have to turn it round, it maybe clockwisely or anti- clockwisely it depends on your own mind but all the same. It will still end up in the same result.

--- # Step 13.
After you might have turned it to the left and right, I showed how I slightly poured the left over **hot** water to the Garri Paste. It I'll looks like a Paste before it begins to solidify again to your own taste.l and texture.
# Step 14.
You use your hand scraper to remove all the left over Garri on the turning stick, this should not take less than 2 minutes at all .

This is how the turning stick will looks like after removing all the Garri Patches on the stick. # Step 16
Bring out your Nylon and get ready for packaging of the food. We are almost done with the food preparation showing the step by step method. # Step 17.
Yes. We are there already. The GARRI is placed inside the white Nylon instantly. # Step 18.
