Hey guys, are you looking for a healthy way to start the day?...how about trying this easy DIY Ginger/Turmeric Juice. This is an easy recipe that will wake you up and have you feeling good in no time. Lets get to it... https://images.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn1.dailyhealthpost.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F03%2F22-ginger-turmeric-carrot-juice-fb-918x482.jpg&f=1 The ingredients that you are going to need include: Ginger root Turmeric root Lemon Black Pepper Cayenne Pepper (optional for a spicy metabolism boost)

For this DIY I am using a Masticating Juicer. This type of juicer is different than your standard Centrifugal Juicer. Masticating juicers are better for root vegetables, green leafy vegetables, and wheat grass. The hole in the hopper is on the small side, so I have to prep all of the ingredients by washing and cutting into small pieces.

Next, just feed the hopper. Tip: start with the lemon or any softer ingredient first. Use the toughest ingredient last...in this case the ginger to help force the softer ingredients go through the juicer. One end is used to collect the pulp and the other is used to collect the juice.

Once you extracted all of the juice, place in a glass and add the black pepper. This is an important ingredient anytime you consume turmeric. The black pepper allows your body to absorb the full benefits from the turmeric. You can also add the optional cayenne pepper to help give a "kick" and a metabolism boost. The fresh ginger will also give a "kick" as well. Start small and build up as you get more tolerance. Now slug it all down and enjoy...for the record it's not the best tasting, but the health benefits more than make up for it.

There you have it. I hope you enjoyed this simple DIY. Take care and stay safe out there.
