### The Market We live in an era in which selling something is not easy. I'm not talking about countries where there's war and everything is scarce but about developed countries where there's plenty of everything. If you have some basic knowledge of marketing, you know what they say. The best salesman is the one who can sell sand in the desert and this is true. If you can sell something in a saturated market you are king. That's the situation in the weight loss market to name one. There are so many products and apps available, all offering 100% success, a great body, healthy lifestyle etc. Gyms, fitness equipment for home, suits that make you lose weight just by wearing them and doing nothing, motivational apps, training apps, weight loss pills and supplements, diet plans that let you eat chocolate all day, you name it. ### The Bait Recently I came across a weight loss and training app that is linked to Chris Hemsworth's name. I'm not going to name it as I don't want to advertise it. When I saw it I said I'd try it out as I know Chris is working hard to stay fit and have the necessary muscles the industry requires. [source](https://gearpatrol.com/2019/05/03/review-chris-hemsworths-new-app-centr/) After registering I was immediately let know that I have a 7 day trial period for free, after which I'm charged around $30/month if you pay monthly, $10/month if you pay for one year. That would be fine but to complete the 7 day trial you have to fill out the form regarding payment and I knew right now I'm really eager to spend $30 a month to be told what to do and what to eat. Therefore I said no and uninstalled the app as it was useless for me, but was still curious to see what it is about, so I ran a search and found some reviews online made by people who have tried the app or by those who were paid to do it. You never know which is the honest review, right? ### Eye Candy? Using celebrities for advertising purposes is an old trick that is working well. I must admit, if it wasn't for Chris Hemsworth's name, I wouldn't have considered downloading the app. I know how hard he's working to stay fit and have the necessary muscles. That is something you can't buy no matter how wealthy you are, you have to work for it and do it right if you want results! The the program is put together by the trainers and nutritionists Chris is working with. This is a good thing as they are professionals, already made a name for themselves. One of them is Tiffiny Hall, one of the trainers from the Australian Biggest Losers and she's good. I've seen her working and liked her methods. She said treat your body as a temple not as a trash bin and she was right! ### A Full Time Job You all know weight loss is 70% what you eat (or what you don't eat) and only 30% sport, which means your focus must be on your meals, then on your training. These two together will lead you to success. Planning in advance is a huge advantage and the only way you can succeed as you know what to do, you just have to follow the plan. Cooking your own meal while on diet is a huge advantage, the most important I'd say as you know what you're eating and there's no risk of not getting the right meal.
