I was lucky to be initiated to Reiki by my maternal grandmother. Now it is a part of me. Some things are so simple. Taking the time to be as opposed to do. Taking the time to nurture yourself, to be vulnerable. I am glad that I can bring strength in silence to the #seven77 challenge. This challenge organized by @nathanmars is simple: Sent out a tweet including a video of you doing 7 push-ups or any other action. Add: @NathanMars7 #Steem and #seven77 to your tweet Avoid powering down, selling Steem or transferring Steem to an exchange on May 1st. If possible, power up May 1st

https://youtu.be/k_dL-F3srUI An art student of mine sent me a powerful video about aging. The artist, a Japanese animator, brings us along the life journey of a mother and her son. As he leaves the nest, she is loosing health and is hesitant to ask for help.

This scene where the boy, now a man, notices the wall stained by her hand constantly grasping the smooth surface for support, speaks to how deeply he cares for his mother. It shows that this is not a given and that children however well intentioned may fail to notice their parents becoming frail or face the fact that they need help. It made me cry thinking about my mother who I wish wasn’t so far away and my student cried as well when she watched it. I hope you cry too, crying is healthy. https://youtu.be/oyrP_2m6eZQ May the energy of Reiki bless your life and everything you do.
