Keto is in trend for a long time. But gradually the hype is falling down. Maybe because people can't follow this diet plan correctly or maybe they are failing to incorporate this with their lifestyle.
Another reason is people are facing low blood pressure, kidney stones, constipation, nutrient deficiencies, and an increased risk of heart disease because of following this diet process wrong.
I guess we all know more or less about Keto. Generally, this involves limiting carb consumption and adding a high-fat diet. It's a critical process, so if anyone fails to follow this properly will cause them many side effects like weight gain, food disorder, and more.
I'm also the one who tried to follow this for a few months. But I gave up. Because I found it really hard to follow this plan correctly. Because if I made any mistakes, this was not helping me anyway. So rather, I gave up and stick with my alternative healthy diet plan than Keto.
So what do we do wrong with this diet plan?
-
We take this diet plan to lose weight rather achieving a healthy lifestyle goal.
-
It's not about eating fat and reducing carbs. We need to choose the type and amount of fat and carb we are intaking.
-
Increasing animal fat in our diet causes us heart disease.
-
High protein diet plan makes our body increase glucose.
-
Reducing fruit and vegetable intake in a dilemma of choosing the right. Like choosing only the sweet-free fruits.
-
Cheat meals in the keto diet cost us to start the process from the beginning because it blocks our normal body function.
There are many more that we do wrong with the keto diet.
Nutrient deficiencies and other health issues are a concern.
Also, I found that it's better to ask for professional help in this process rather than doing this all by ourselves/ at home. But we don't usually do that. We think that taking information from the web will help us lose weight through the keto diet in no time.
But this idea is very wrong.
So if we don't follow this properly, there's a high chance that we will end up having different nutrient deficiencies and other health issues. You can search online to see how many people suffer from this diet process as they did it wrong.
I would say if you can follow it properly; put yourself into it. But if you can't rather choose other healthy diet options and lead a healthy lifestyle than just a keto diet.
What do you think?
