When You Can’t Fly . . . Read, Cook or Paint

When your lifestyle changes at the drop of a hat, it takes some time to adjust. As a retired person who normally travels quite a bit, it seems strange to stay at home for two weeks without social interaction.

I live a very active life with almost daily involvement with other people. In addition to my arts and crafts that I take at local senior centers, I also take dance lessons and yoga. Now I am at home, with plenty of things to do but doing them while trying to keep others safe and away from me. I am grateful that I have all of my hobbies and materials to keep myself busy. I am also grateful that I know how to cook my own meals from scratch including making bread. I have an extensive library and I have many Kindle books that I have yet to read. As the weather changes and the temperature gets warmer, I typically use this season to travel. I am not the only person who has to change my lifestyle for a few months. I hope that everyone is able to stay safe and stay healthy and make sensible choices about your social interaction during this pandemic. Enjoy your day.
