Now a days as every one is becoming health conscious, they feel its better to take some ready made, easy to prepare supplements or medicines rather than trying to get the same directly from the food. Now we ll talk about the protein shakes. There are plenty of brands available today in market. Usually a single scoop of protein powder have about 25–30 grams of protein, some of carbs and a few grams of fat. So this way one can easily get the protein requirement for the day without consuming extra calorie.

Yes you can and even in vegetables you can find different proteins easily and in rich amount. Remember that all proteins are not same. But when you think to get your protein only from vegetables, then to get the daily requirements of protein you need to eat enough vegetables. This way even though you get enough protein, still end up consuming more fiber and carbs. Having more fiber is not a problem, but with fiber you fill full and it rarely allows you to consume more food to fulfill the protein requirement. Again different vegetables has different amount of protein content. So the equation is always very complex to calculate the total amount vegetable intake to the calorie consumption. Also you can get enough protein from nuts, but think about the fats too. Think of eating nuts whole day to get the daily protein requirements. Anyway… In fact protein shakes are not They’re also definitely more convenient, especially if you don’t cook. Those are the main draws of protein powders. You won’t gain more muscle with them over natural food, if the amount of protein is the same. That being said, you definitely shouldn’t try to subsist on nothing but protein shakes. Your body NEEDS fats, vitamins and minerals, that a powder just won’t provide. Use them as intended…to SUPPLEMENT a healthy diet.
