Saturday it’s probably the most triggering day to eat more for me😁 Everyone at home wants to chill, watch movies with tones of popcorn and go out for meal. Sunday’s are not so bad and from tomorrow my kids starting Sunday school. This means I will have more time to myself and possibly quiet gym session when everybody stays at home dealing with their weekend hungover👍😁
Image from: https://www.pumpup.com Surprisingly my food choices were good today and my main task for today was just continue practising to be mindful of portions, hunger signals and stop eating as soon I am feeling almost full. It might sound like boring thing to do on “National cheat day” but trust me I had lots fun during summer holidays in Poland😁 Breakfast I had 2 slices of bread with feta cheese and olives + banana We went out for dinner and between 4 of us we shared Chicken Shawarma with medium salad and little bread, I had one medium slice of pizza, little bit of hummus and few chips. At this point I was quite full but not satisfied 😬So on the way back we stoped in McDonald’s for mini McFlurry . As soon we started to watch movies I craved fruit especially mango and bananas. I ended up having large bowl of every fruit I had, little popcorn, nuts and mini mars bar which I ate out of boredom at the end😬 I didn’t eat any veggies because that’s not what I like to eat on Saturday😁 I will make up for it during the week. I didn’t feel like I am restricting anything and at the same time I didn’t want to hear my mind convincing me it’s a cheat day😉 I didn’t count single calorie or carbs or fat etc All I wanted is to be mindful. My activity was low but I am ok with that because I am still aching from Thursday’s weight lifting workout😬
I have done little more yesterday so doing little less today will not hurt😉 I really believe most of us know how to eat healthy. We just can’t control amount of food we are eating! Now with so much food available out there, counting carbs or calories is the easy part in my opinion. What’s difficult nowadays is finding balance and be in charge of our eating habits and amount of food we are eating. How is your weekend going?
