*Time running at its own momentum. What is happening at this juncture is lost in the abyss of time after a few moments. Although we often say that time goes by very fast but in real sense it goes by its normal tempo. We just don’t comprehend that because of our busyness. It appears to me that a few days ago I was stepping down the street with my uncle but in fact today is his first death anniversary.* *My uncle expired of a very common disease. That was liver cirrhosis. He was first suffering from fatty liver. One of the reasons why this disease took such an awful form was that he did not diet, sleep and exercise properly. Although I am not a doctor, I know that once a liver cirrhosis occurs, it is not possible to save a patient without a liver transplant. And it is very expensive. Since a person very close to me has died of this disease, today I will take the opportunity to talk about this disease and the ways of healthy lifestyle.* *More than two million people die every year worldwide due to this liver related disease and Bangladesh could be one of the leading countries. It is a little difficult to find out the exact number of liver related patients of Bangladesh at the moment because the huge poor population is not financially able to determine the exact cause of their death. In many cases awareness and ignorance about the disease is another reason. Liver cirrhosis is a disease that is said to be a silent killer. Although doctors can tell better, but from my experience, I have seen that in many cases, patients with this disease come to know at the last minute and find out about their condition, and sadly, there is nothing to do then. In most cases, our liver is damaged due to hepatitis. In addition to hepatitis, many people have fatty liver, which can lead to cirrhosis of the liver. These two symptoms depend on our eating habits and lifestyle. In many cases it is possible to get rid of this disease only if we do not eat stale food and avoid contact with the infected person.*

Although while saying it seems these three things are very easy to maintain but in reality these are not so easy to retain. If we talk about proper eating habits, then in most cases we cannot maintain it. As Bangladeshi, our main food is rice and we take this food three times a day. Also, one of our favourite foods is sweets and foods made from sugar. Again we like to use too much oil while cooking. Excessive oil poses a serious risk to our health. These eating habits are not healthy at all. People who eat a lot of these sugary, oily and carbohydrates have a lot of health risks.* *Regular exercise is one of the key to good health. Regular exercise is one of the most effective solutions to one’s health, starting from diabetes and various other diseases. People who exercise regularly can protect themselves from fatty liver and heart attacks and many other severe diseases.* *Above all, I want to say that our life is one and we have to sustain as long as possible. If we want to live a healthy and long time, we have to take care of our body. This is possible only through regular exercise, proper diet and adequate sleep.*
