The Polynesians call the NONI "The gift of the gods for the health of our children."
We can find on the internet a lot of information about this fruit and its health benefits, which today I will focus on mentioning. It is a shrub native to Southeast Asia, It grows today in most tropical regions of the world, apparently much older than humans, It is scientifically known as Morinda citrifolia.

Characteristics

Its flower is white and tubular in shape, the ripe fruit is approximately 8 centimeters in diameter, almost the same size as a potato, at first it is yellow in color and then it turns white when ripe, it has a bitter taste and bad smell that does not prevent its consumption since this characteristics are exceeded by its important nutritional properties to maintain optimal health.

Some wonders of Noni. XERONINE is a relatively small alkaloid (a picogram is one trillionth of a gram). It is practically present in all healthy cells of plants, animals and microorganisms. However, the amount of this alkaloid is minimal.

Although noni juice has small amounts of xeronine, it is very rich in proxeronine, which is an inactive precursor form of xeronine, which is not affected by gastric acids and enzymes. Once in the intestinal digestive tract, proxeronine is transformed into xeronine through a process activated by the enzyme proxeronase, which is also an abundant component of noni juice.

Noni stimulates the production of NITRIC OXIDE, a gas produced by the cells of our body and which has recently been shown to fulfill countless functions, including: dilating blood vessels, which helps to normalize blood pressure and improve circulation and oxygenation, preventing angina pectoris and impotence and improving memory; helps fight free radicals and prevent oxidation of "bad" cholesterol (LDL); inhibits premature blood clotting, helping to prevent blockages in the arteries that cause heart and brain infarcts; stimulates the immune system against bacteria, viruses and cancer cells; improves the efficiency of communication between brain cells and the rest of the body; helps maintain insulin levels in the blood, helping to prevent and / or control diabetes, and provides an adequate stimulus for the secretion of growth hormone, a key factor in preventing aging and maintaining muscle mass and Bone density. The high content of BIOFLAVONOIDS in noni juice makes it a powerful antioxidant, and therefore an effective ally against harmful free radicals, responsible for premature aging and degeneration of cells.
How to make Noni juice. Although it is subject to consumer taste.

To separate the seed from the pulp once it is ripe, I use a strainer and a fork. The end result, my daughter prefers to eat it without mixing it with another fruit.

Instead I separated the seeds from the pulp and then processed it with the juice of another fruit. I take it for three months and then for the same time, the personal results are wonderful

Noni has many health benefits. While its taste is not so attractive, much less its smell, for all the vitamins and health benefits it provides, it is worth eating after all.
