Creating More Time with Yoga - Support Fellow Yogis on HIVE!

I was going to skip the curation this week -- we're going away tomorrow, so I felt pressed for time. But then I read [this post](https://peakd.com/hive-120078/@millycf1976/how-i-used-yoga-techniques-to-manage-stress-and-physical-trauma-women-s-health) by @millycf1976 about yoga poses for fibroids in the context of women's health and thought about how these posts really need celebrating. Then I thought about how many many years ago, my yoga teacher was addressing us about missed classes. I was only young, and was preoccupied with other things, so the reprimand made me a bit uncomfortable. However, it always *stuck with me*. She said that **doing yoga makes more time for your life**. How could this be so? I felt so curious that I have never forgotten this instruction, even though it didn't make sense at the time. Many years later, I'd sit a vipassana course, and Goenke-ji also said that meditation actually made you far more efficient at what you do, so that it creates more time. There is something in this. Yoga creates space that life fills back up - both physically and mentally. And when you HAVE that space, you perform better - with more clarity and purpose, and more grace. So I made a little time to practice today, and lo and behold - I found time for a curation. I didn't feel stressed or presssured to do it - I did it because I feel passionate about yoga, and had the headspace So thank you, yogis of HIVE, for inspiring me - and I give many thanks for the practice of yoga for creating space in my life. ## Namaste. ### Inviting you to make a little space for the following posts this week - each wins 5 percent beneficiary on this post, so do vote in order to support them! Isn't she a picture of strength in this pose? Saying that - yoga looks different to everyone, and you should never think you can't do yoga because you can't imagine doing one pose or another! This pose makes me reflect on how often it's the effort that develops mental strength even if the body won't quite go into the shape that you want it to! @moonyoga has a very dedicated practice and you can see her determination in this beautiful photograph - but also her peace and quiet in the efforting. It reminds me of one of Patanjali's oft quoted yoga sutras: > स्थिरसुखमासनम् ॥४६॥ > sthira-sukham-āsanam ॥46॥ > **Practicing yoga with strength and in a relaxed manner gives rise to harmony with the physical body (asana).**
