### #My first batch of Kombucha Five days ago, I wrote a post on [Brewing my own Kombucha](https://hive.blog/powerhousecreatives/@rynow/brewing-my-own-kombucha-at-home). In that post, I just started the brew process, which takes about a week to complete. I left my Kombucha to brew for six days, before taking it out. [

I poured it into a jug, just look how inviting and refreshing it looks, with all those bubbles forming!! You can see that it has some foam on top of it!! [

I have put it in the fridge to cool down, and already drank a few glasses of it!! I must say it is quite sour, I see on all the sites I googled Kombucha, they say it tastes "TART", but I would just say sour, but not bad tasting!! I also read that, you can brew it for a shorter time, then it will be less sour, but then less of the sugar would have been used up. I was very lucky, that in my first brew a new **SCOBY** formed, and now I have two **SCOBY'S** with two batches brewing. Below you can see the new **SCOBY** in one of my new batches. [

Apparently Kombucha is quite healthy as it contains probiotics and antioxidants. You can read more about the health benefits of Kombucha by following the link: [Health Benefits of Kombucha](https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/8-benefits-of-kombucha-tea) I think I will take out my new batch on day 5, to see what the difference in taste is!! I hope you liked the post as much as I liked writing it. I hope you have a wonderful day!!
