A Day at the Hospital

Yesterday I had an appointment at the Hospital for an MRI test to be done for my Spine. After completing my Steemit activity in the Morning and some house work then I had to visit the Hospital. Before this appointment was scheduled I had already visited the Doctor and explained my problem. It has almost been a year since the surgery of Discectomy was done for me, the Doctor had informed me that the healing period would be around 3 to 4 months but it is now almost 10 months and on and off I keep getting pain in my back and leg so this is worrying me. I have been taking all the precuations that the doctor has advised but I see that even a little bit of heavy activity and I end up with some pain.

Since almost a year my Yoga activity has also stopped, I know that if I start I will be fine eventually but since the last experience somewhere even if little pain shoots up I get scared. But it cannot go on like that. I want to start with my classes and routine, so before I start I thought I will get the MRI done so that I know what is the state of my spine and what Yoga positions can I do and which one should I avoid. The visit to the Hospital was smooth but there was too much confusion. In-spite of giving the history to the Doctor he had not passed on proper information to the Dr. in Radiology department and because of that when I reached there I had to again give the complete history to the In-house Doctor in the Radiology department. Then he mentioned that in your case before we go ahead with the MRI we need to check your Creatinine levels and this particular MRI had to be done on fasting. Thankfully because of my intermittent fasting habit I had not had anything so the fasting part was take care off, but then he mentioned that he can only do the MRI after the Creatinine report will come. Which would mean one more week gone. Luckily I remembered that I had done one test a couple of months back and I checked with the Dr. if that would be valid and he said if it is within 3 months it would be ok. I checked the report which I had saved on the phone and it was done on 27th Feb just 1 day less to 3 months so that also went through and finally the MRI was done. During the test was being done which was almost for an hour I had to be completely still, I thought that would be a discomfort but then the hour passed very quickly and it did not seem very long. Now waiting for my report to what comes through. After the report comes I plan to take up some Physio sessions and also some Ayurvedic Massage therapies. I want my spine to be completely healthy so that I can get back to my routine. From August onward I have couple of travel plans and before that I should be in 100% good health in all ways. Let's hope for the best. ***Thank you for visiting my blog.***
