A lot of time, purchasing a road side food seem to be the best option for us especially as a busy Nigerian, we get so busy that the only option we have is to grab a road side food or snacks to help satisfy our hunger. https://www.agronigeria.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/corn-n-pear.jpg I usually like to grab snacks from the road side and my favourite is roasted corn, so whenever I have extra cash with me, I love to get one. I was excited when I sighted a woman selling roasted corn by the road side, I quickly approached her but I meet a customer there trying to buy corn as well, so I had to wait for him to buy first. https://guardian.ng/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Corn-20-9-15-Copy.jpg However, his actions got me totally discouraged, rather than selecting what he would love to buy, he began to touch every corn available on the tray, he would touch every of the corn and drop them down again. I was very upset because I had no idea on how neat his hands may be and how many other customers must have done the same thing to the corn that will be eaten by others. This made me remember when I went to the hospital sometime ago to get treated for typhoid, and the doctor asked me if I use to eat out, that is getting my food from a food joint, now I understand the reason why he asked the question that faithful day. I have now realized the reason why eating road side food as fast as it may seem, could be really dangerous to our health. The exposure to different hands, either neat or dirty, exposure to dust, sun and different things might not be good at all for human health. It might not be really easy to stop this act, but it is one, we need to learn to stop.
