En ésta publicación hablaré acerca de qué son las pestañas y qué función cumplen en nuestro cuerpo.

Las pestañas son pequeños pelos que podemos encontrar en la parte de nuestro párpado superior e inferior, siendo por lo general y lo más común encontrar más pestañas en la parte superior que en la parte inferior.
The eyelashes are small hairs that we can find in the part of our upper and lower eyelids, being in general and the most common to find more eyelashes in the upper part than in the lower part.
En la parte superior se dice que podemos encontrar de 100 a 150 pestañas divididas entre tres capas. En la parte inferior tenemos un número más bajo, calculando así de 40 a 80 pestañas, que igualmente se encuentran dividas en dos o tres capas.
At the top it is said that we can find 100 to 150 tabs divided into three layers. At the bottom we have a lower number, thus calculating 40 to 80 tabs, which are also divided into two or three layers.
¿Qué función cumplen en nuestro cuerpo? / What function do they fulfill in our body?
Al pertenecer al párpado inferior y superior, las pestañas cumplen la función de protección. Es decir que se encarga de atrapar cualquier pequeña partícula que puede ocasionar daño a nuestros ojos. Además de ésto, las pestañas son mega sensibles por lo que cuentan con un reflejo al momento de ser tocadas haciendo que los párpados se cierren rápidamente, la función de ese reflejo es el hacer que nuestro ojo cierre de forma rápida cuando algún cuerpo extraño de nuestro exterior toque la pestaña, así de ésta forma no entraría al ojo.
As they belong to the lower and upper eyelids, the eyelashes fulfill the function of protection. In other words, it is responsible for catching any small particle that can cause damage to our eyes. In addition to this, the eyelashes are mega sensitive so they have a reflection at the time of being touched causing the eyelids to close quickly, the function of this reflection is to make our eye close quickly when a foreign body of our outside touch the eyelash, so this way it would not enter the eye.
En conclusión podríamos decir que las pestañas ayudan a mantene
rnos sanos, ya qué al evitar que entren bacterias a nuestros ojos evitamos el contaminarnos de ciertos agentes patógenos que nos pueden llevar a un área hospitalaria.
In conclusion we could say that the eyelashes help to maintain
Keep us healthy, because by preventing bacteria from entering our eyes, we avoid contaminating ourselves with certain pathogens that can lead us to a hospital area.
