Charlie Chaplin left US Senate what he called the six best doctors in the world. The list might not make any sense but after reading this, you'll know why he tagged thus. 1. SUN Although most of the health-promoting benefits of sun exposure are thought to occur through photosynthesis. There are other health benefits that have been largely overlooked in the debate over how much sun is needed for good health. Vitamin D unlike other essential vitamins can be synthesized in the skin through a photosynthetic reaction triggered by exposure to UVB radiation. The efficiency of production depends on the number of UVB photons that penetrate the skin, a process that can be curtailed by clothing, excess body fat, sunscreen, and the skin pigment melanin. Vitamin D is very essential in the body most especially for children, the lack of it causes growth retardation and various skeletal deformities, including the hallmark bowed legs. 2. Rest Most people work round the clock, not knowing the effect If they're rundown. The high probability of getting sick and missing days from work is the most dreaded result. Create time to rest and relax away from the office and co-workers, be deliberate about it and this will at the long run be beneficial to you in your office as it'll restore your energy, repairs your body, improves your focus, improves your mood and increase your creativity. 3. Exercise It's of no doubt the importance of exercise in the body. Just for a little clarification, Exercise delivers oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and helps your cardiovascular system work more efficiently. And when your heart and lung health improve, you have more energy to tackle daily chores. 4. Diet A good diet goes hand in hand with a healthy lifestyle. What you choose to eat, and what you choose not to eat, are factors in warding off many leading chronic illnesses and diseases. The right diet can help fight conditions like malnutrition and protects from diseases like heart disease, diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity, cancer and stroke. Today, many people's diets consist of more saturated fat, trans fats, sugars, and more sodium than fruits, vegetables and dietary fiber. Your body's health reflects what you put into it. 5. Self Esteem Self-esteem is the sense of how much one likes or dislikes one’s own self. Self-esteem is a very real feeling directed totally inward, holding more power over us than the feelings we have for other people, or that they have for us. Good and/or healthy self-esteem is responsible for helping us stay in good health, and to survive and recover from any sickness (welther physically or mentally). Love yourself for who you are, don't give your heart so much to think about and most especially don't think so low of your self, love yourself for who you are. 6. Friends Friends are those who makes you feel good about yourself, who will laugh at the most embarrassing moment of your life to make you feel lighter. They are the ones who will be there for you during happiness and at times when you need them most. When the world turns back at you they will be there right by your side. The importance of friendship in our life is beyond any description. Keeping good company encourages healthy behaviors that can have a direct impact on your physical well-being and mental state of mind. [Image from unsplash] (https://unsplash.com/photos/78T99kbcp_4)
