Fruit is one thing I cherish a lot. The value they add to healthy living cannot be overemphasized. All they do is add and rarely subtract or have side effects. Depending on the needs. In some cases they are medicinal, in some cases, they are energy-boosting, in some cases, they are body cleansers, in some cases, they are supplements to meals.
Today I did a little digging on apples. I felt the urge to know more about them. This should be my first time of seeking online knowledge on apples. I have done this before on the few fruits that are instrumental to skin and beauty care, probably in the future, I could write about it. Maybe, maybe not. Fingers crossed. The internet was kind enough to enlighten me on the origin, size, myths, scientific classification, nutrients and religion of apples. # For the size When apples grow from it seeds, seeds planted into the soil suitable for germination. It tends to be in a size of 7- 8cm. Size sometimes looks like the tennis ball we see in a lawn court. That sport that produced the celebrity, Serena Williams. # For myths Thanks to the Internet, I was amazed to know that apples have some wierd mythologies. In Norway, an English scholar did some research and found out that there was this goddess people present apples to in a bucket. The apples are not given in the range of 1- 10 but in a bucket. It was presumed and believed that this offering to this goddess give eternal youthfulness. # Scientific view Apples have lots of research culminated under it. Since the emergence of science and technology, people get inspired to seek more knowledge on living and non-living things. And I tell you, apples is not exempted from that research. Scientific classification; apples are under the kingdom of **Plantae** and are called **Malus domestica**. # Nutrients Apples aid the life span of the human body. They contribute good vitamins to the body. Apples are rich in fibre, vitamin C and contain antioxidants. Also, it has this sugary component that's good for the body. Imagine you are craving for vitamin C. All you just have to do is eat an apple. Imagine you are looking for a substance rich in antioxidants. An apple is all you need. What of fibre? Apple has it. # Religion In the Christian religion in the story of Adam and Eve. Researchers interpret the tree of good and evil as Malus from the Latin translation. Though the scripture didn't say the fruit is eaten in the garden of Eden is an apple but many story writers or few writers has narrowed that fruit to an apple. # Origin It is confirmed that the apple fruit originated from Central Asia and Europe. History says they originated from a tree in Asia before being spread across to other continents for cultivation. Even to date, the offsprings of the parent plant of Apples in central Asia still produces its variety. # Usage With the evolution in science and technology, people tend to use apples mainly in recipes and drinks. In conclusion, if you are not a fan of apples, you are wrong. You are missing out on awesome fruit filled with fibre, vitamins, some fructose or glucose and antioxidants. Now do me a favour, grab some fiat, go to the nearest market and fill your fridge, dining table, food&fruits store with some tasty apples. Thank you.
