You "could" use margarine, and I can't stop you. However, it's not really healthy for you at all. You are better off trusting a cow than a chemist when it comes to all things butter. But, if you really want to, you could use margarine in this recipe. How do I make whipped butter with pumpkin?
You will want to soften the butter first. That will make it far easier to whip into a spreadable butter. Then simply add all the ingredients together and combine. You have two choices when combining the ingredients: a wooden spoon, and a stand mixer. I prefer to use a stand mixer, as it only takes a couple of minutes for rich, creamy, whipped butter. However, if you do not have stand mixer, you can easily stir the ingredients together with a wooden spoon in a large mixing bowl. You will want to store this in the fridge for best results, and allow to come to room temperature for about 10 minutes before use. If you make it fresh to use that day, it can sit on the table or counter with little concern. That being said, the whipped butter will last approximately 3 months in the fridge, tightly covered. If you want to make a big batch of this ahead of time, you can store it in freezer safe containers, and place in the freezer for up to 6 months.Do you have a vegan option for this whipped butter with pumpkin?
For a vegan option, you can use any vegan butter product you like. Then, substitute the honey for agave nectar in equal amounts. I have not tested this recipe with coconut butter, but that would be a fun option to try as well.Ingredients
