Yet, here we are - looking at an advert that specifically tries to hook vulnerable people into addiction for profit. Arguably, anyone who promotes true decentralisation and free markets must concede that without excellent education to support absolute freedom, there will be a lot of casualties along the way.

In this Lucky Strike advert, the advertisers have sought to associate their product with the idea that excellent singers/performers choose their products because they are 'toasted'. While toasting tobacco may reduce some irritants, it is hardly the case that a lung full of smoke will enhance your singing voice, unless you intend to sing the blues or Nirvana covers.

The truly unethical aspect here is that the marketers are attempting to unconsciously associate female beauty, the acceptance of men and artistic greatness with their product - knowing that these are all often desired by the female market they are trying to target. Rather than empowering women to feel great through self acceptance or demonstrating confidence boosting exercises, these people have accepted money in exchange for trying to trick women to pay for poisons that will do them harm!

Colon cancer: Features and risk factors

Colon cancer, often termed colorectal cancer, is one of the most common cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. It is the third leading cause of death among cancer patients in the USA.

Before the appearance of the features specific to colon cancer, some non-specific features may be found. Fatigue or lethargy, generalized weakness, low haemoglobin (due to iron deficiency anaemia), unintentional or unexplained weight loss etc. are the features that may precede years before identifiable cancer. If an above-40 person presents with these features, we should evaluate him/her.

With or without the above-mentioned features, if a middle-aged person starts experiencing a change in his/her bowel habit and it persists over a longer period, he or she needs to be evaluated. The change may go either way; diarrhoea or constipation.

Incomplete evacuation of the faeces along with persistent bloating or abdominal pain in such a person shouldn't be overlooked.

Passage of blood in the stool should be evaluated promptly. If the source of the blood is not the anal canal (e.g. due to haemorrhoids or piles), the search for the source should be started without any delay.

Any mass in the abdomen or tenderness or generalized swelling of the abdomen (due to ascites: a collection of excess fluid in the abdomen) indicates advanced stages!

Who is at risk of having colon cancer?
First and foremost, if there is a history of colon cancer in a family, other family members are at risk. It has a strong genetic influence, i.e. it runs in the family. If someone’s first degree or second-degree relatives has or had colon cancer, the person should go for the screening test when applicable.

Those who are mostly habituated with a diet rich in red and processed meat are at higher risk. Diets with low fibres, low fruits and vegetables, low folate, low calcium are found to be associated with increased colon cancer.

Increased body weight, smoking, lack of exercise and high alcohol intake are also connected with increased risk of colon cancer. Surprisingly, lean women are at increased risk of having colon cancer.

In this post, I am sharing with you all, my life’s toughest fight with corona virus.

I was Covid positive on 20th April-21 and went Covid negative on 2nd june 21. It was a long day one and half month time, when I was on home isolation.
That time 2nd wave of corona was on peak, no any bed was available in hospital on my city, no doctor available to check, and last I was not in condition to go on clinic. That time every day news was that one or two of my relatives or friends were no more(death).
While on my critical time I was shocked to know that prescribed medicine was not available in my city. Thanks to my colleagues/friends help me a lot to provide me medicine, money or healthy diet items, whenever I required.
My company provided me doctor's consultation on that critical 2nd wave, who helped me on critial 15 das period.
I haven't words to explain my pain and condition, which I faced over corona/post corona
After negative report on 2nd june21, I was relaxed that I recovered from covid now everything will be fine, but I was wrong I faced lots of issue after covid, even I went to hospital at midnight and spend lots of amount on tests and doctor consultation. I was feeling breathless and this situation I faced 15 days after covid negative.
Due to no hospitalization insurance was not covered, due to this all-expenses bourn by me. But in critical condition, I am very happy to saw that all money or anything like medicine or food arranged by my friends.

Now I am trying to back all the expenses done by my friends, but this is huge amount, and it will take time.
Best part is my all friends telling me that first you recover fully then think about money return.
But saddest part is some of my friend not helped me, whom I helped last year on this pandemic, they didn't return my money, which I gave him on his critical time.
I think people must know that heaven and hell is here on earth. If we do good thing, we will get appreciation here by God and if we do bad things, we also get punishment by god here on earth.

Now main part of covid is fear, after covid I face anxiety/fear/mental stress. Currently my most medicine is stopped some of food supplements and one heart related is going on.

Oh, Lotus Goddesses, we've been working hard this month to reorganise the way we do things! The aim is to make this community more COMMUNITY and less centrally run, meaning the work is divided a lot more fairly and equitably, and the benefits flow on to the community. We're super proud of what we've achieved. These newsletters aim for transparency, and we're adding them to a collection as a record of where we're at and what we're up to. We're kinda flexible, dynamic and adaptable as a tribe, which suits our flow - but as always, it's about the green lotus heart!

Big Burn Time!

It's been a long time since we've had a LOTUS burn. This is when we reduce our supply by issuing tokens to @null. Traditionally (see our past newsletters) once a month we burnt all the LOTUS curation rewards from @lotusshares and @naturalmedicine - we never keep them for ourselves. We also burnt an extra MILLION this month - woo hoo! We're looking at burning even more soon, so keep collecting your tokens!

Beneficiaries

After some discussion with the Lotus team, the current beneficiaries are agreed as such:

LOTUS RECOMMENDS: 50 percent for post compiler, 5 percent for everyone whose post is included in multiples to limit of 2 x lotusmod/curator selections UNLESS only one lotusmod/curator is putting forth curations. For example, if sirenahippie finds 6 posts and no other person has nommed, she would get 6 x 5 = 35 percent.

Oh, and if you want to become a curator, get in touch. As above, you get 5 percent beneficiary for each nom chosen up to 3 noms. (oh, and a nom is shorthand for nomination, btw!)

Ordinary Curations: Beneficiary for curation posts other than lotus recommends. 70% author, 20% lotuspayroll and 10% for one of the featured authors, with preference to delegators.

Challenge Rewards are Changing

We're now setting beneficiaries for winners on announcement or challenge posts, instead of an amount decided by curator. This means no one is responsible for the active key or the active key owner is not on demand to fill requests. However, we may still do the occasional HIVE bonus for a challenge if we have some extra funds to spare. We're also teaming with @holos-lotus so we run parellel challenges of the same nature, thanks to @miriannalis. If you'd like to help out with a challenge, get in touch - we do offer renumeration for challenge organisers, writers and curators.

'Working' Accounts & Roles

A few changes, and account ownership. Of course, we've had the big powerdown to renumerate the old account owners for the thousands of HIVE and hours they'd put in to setting up and running www.naturalmedicine.io and the community. All the HIVE earnt since about 2 months ago is going into the community account, however. Both ex leaders are still working to hand over the community and help with organisation until it they are no longer needed, with a view to possibly taking minor or more equal roles with the rest of the community. The idea is to ensure that the curators and others working for the community are paid fairly, with all funds being used for the community and it's delegators. Funds are also going in part to the people who have worked the hardest in keeping the community alive and nourished over the past year. They'll be delegating back into the account after taking a stipend for their efforts.

This account is used for outgoings to pay for

a) Nitrous front end expenses
b) Payment of HIVE BUZZ badges.
c) Possible extra challenge bonuses
d) Possible monthly or quarterly bonuses for curators

It is the main upvoting account for the community, and funds earnt are used for upvotes - these will be mainly from curation. Delegators should delegate to this account.

This has an autovoter and delegators will receive autovotes on any #naturalmedicine posts they write. Keys will be jointly owned by @trucklife-family and @minismallholding.

Rewards for Delegators

All delegators receive a 20 Percent upvote on any tagged #naturalmedicine or #hive-120078 posts, over 250 words. Delegations are organised once a week or so by @drrune, so be patient if you've delegated and your vote hasn't quite made it yet. Remember the upvote comes from @lotusshares - all newsletters written by @riverflows get 50 percent for @lotusshares and the collections posts get 75 percent powered up for the @lotusshares delegators fund!

Good day hivians how is your day going hope all is well as for me I thank God for life.


Why I thank God for life is that this days you will see someone very strong and up doing but only for you to wake up in the morning and all you hear is death death everywhere. And also the season. this season is not favorable to everyone there are people that in a season like this they stay indoor all through due to because they are allergic to cool but to some the season is normal they go about their business to someone like me this season is always very boring because I do not go out like I use to do because am afraid of cool and if I waste time outside the next thing is sneezing I will so sneeze that people will pity me.


So today is last Saturday of the month. In our state every last Saturday of the month has been declared environmental sanitation day were everyone come out and clean their environment, clear bushes around, clear the ghotter for those that live close to where ghotter is in other to allow flood flow so that everywhere will not be flooded. In my own case not only me where I stay it was raining so no body go out from the house into the rain I decided to make myself comfortable. It is not my fault that it rain so I can't come and kill myself there was no sanitation in my place today the rain was too much and my health is important I can't go out to the rain so that I will live long. You know sanitation is one of the way we keep our houses clean and sent away mosquitoes and unwanted substance that is not healthy to our living. Keeping our environment clean, is the way to live Long and healthy but the rain could not allow us.


I live in a small room so i clean my house every day there's no special to clean for me sanitation or no sanitation my house is always clean. This is why i enjoy good health.
I was indoor because of the cool i decided to make tea and egg sauce for myself delicious egg sauce i decided to share it here in foodies bee hive since what I used was natural and healthy for the system. to make this breakfast you know in raining season like this food are scarce like fresh tomatoes anything fresh it very hard to see them. so in the absence of fresh tomatoes i did not waste time i choose what is available after all they are all vegetables and are good to the body not only good but they are healthy and medicine to us.

Grounnut oil
Some vegetables and scent leaves to spice up my egg sauce.

It so delicious with my Cadbury tea and loyal milk I was so good to go. Vegetables are good to the body so almost all my food is spice with vegetable I don't lack any of this vegetable in my home any time I go to the market I make sure I buy them in large quantity and keep. When I say large that is the quantity that will take me for one week since they are perishable they can get spoil anytime. So I buy what I can finish within one week my Saturday morning is wow since the rain won't allow me to do sanitation I make sure I make good use of the Saturday.
