Hey fellow bloggers.. Today's post is a bit unusual than what my blog is usually about. Recently, I had a bit of a food spree and I went on an unplanned healthy diet. Living and studying far away from home proved not so good for my health. I got into the habit of eating takeout junk that boosts energy for a short while and crashes soon after. You know the drill :P

So here I'm sharing a bit from experience, some food plates that I tried and a had some drastic results in really short timeframe. I completely skipped my usual meals of heavy-on-the-stomach Indian food and switched to these. So, I would get a little creative with my platters and tried to have some variety to provide nutrients. Well, I didn't really care about proportionate nutrients but it felt good to eat such variety. it felt interesting. And to add a fun fact, a short period before that I was reading a book named Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari and in it, the author mentioned that we humans actually require different food and as we ate as early humans who fought animals to protect themselves.

Mainly my plate would consist of raw fibrous food like grains, sprouts mixed with onions, tomatoes, cucumber. coriander with a pinch of salt, oregano, black pepper, lime juice, and chaat masala. Sided with red and black plum. Slices of tomatoes, corn, mangoes or any fruit I could find. Sometimes I included egg on bread or bread with peanut butter and slices of banana. Other times I would include "poha", an Indian breakfast recipe of flattened fried rice. And it felt so good to have these :)

**The benefits were remarkable for me. And I think it depends on the body to body what food is effective for your health. I would not get "food coma" and felt way more energized after my meals and didn't feel like taking a nap after every lunch. Man, that saves up a lot of time. Eating raw veggies and fruits helped my gut to function better and internally cleared up my skin a little bit. I really just enjoyed preparing these meals for myself and it felt good that I wasn't putting junk to fill my stomach rather was consciously taking care of my health.** Being completely new to this area I simply enjoyed making and having these plates. Anyways, these plates felt too pretty not to share. And also I'm back home now which means more trying out healthy stuff :) Thank you for reading and see you tomorrow! :)
