Community @steemit, the flavor of the fruit of the zapote is very sweet, the meat is distinguished by its juiciness and softness. If the fruit is immature, you can feel the pulp's viscosity, adhesion and firmness. The aroma of fresh fruit may resemble dried fruit that is popular in North Africa, such as dates or figs. In addition, the flavor of the zapote can be described as milky with caramel notes. The fruits of the zapote are round or oval, each individual fruit contains its small seeds of oblong shape in an amount of 3 to 9 pieces. Before eating them you have to extract them. The zapote must be consumed no later than a couple of days after the purchase, because after this period the fruit drastically changes its smell. It is recommended to eat this fruit only when it has matured, since the unripe fruit contains tannin and milk latex, and these substances are not very tasty. Choose fruits with whole skin that are slightly soft to the touch. Use the zapote only in mature form. Peel the fruit and give the meat some unusual shape, or simply cut it with a knife in four parts. Do not forget to remove the seeds.
