There is this great detox “insert any adjective”-food I’ve heard of…superfood, natural food, organic, Himalayan, quantum… Sounds familiar? On a serious note, it is called fibre! Just regular and normal fibre-rich food. Store-bought. Wholegrains, whole-wheat, fruits, vegetables, potato skin, oats, seeds… Together with healthy kidney and liver function, detox is guaranteed. What is the connection between dietary fibre and detox diet? Body doesn’t digest fibres, but fibers feed your digestive bacteria and may cause weight loss. (1) Metabolic balance is crucial, therefore dietary fibre plays beneficial role when it comes to regulation of insulin and blood sugar. (2) Fibre in diet also prevents constipation and makes our stool more consistent. (3) Note, we all know from since we were kids how our body gets rid of “unnecessary products and waste”. Above are just some of the health benefits when it comes to wholesome diet. Think about this next time when someone tries to promote diet that will #detox from toxins or even worse, energy. There is also no reason to be afraid of the word chemical, everything around us is chemical, air, water, food… These are just some buzzwords used by salesman and quackery charlatans to promote products that have almost no beneficial effect on your health, just so they can earn money. When it comes to detoxifying, our body has that part covered so we don’t need to think of it or lose extra money on supplements, unless something isn’t functioning properly. Part of the post does not apply to medical patients. #health #fibres #food #nutrients #calories #aid #personaltraining #coaching #training #fitness #exercise #activity #physicaltherapy #physiotherapy #sleep #nutrition #lifestyle #aidpersonaltraining References: 1. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21676152 2. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24180564 3. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3544045
