Who said eSports cannot be dangerous!?

In our past discussions we already accepted eSports as a legit form of recreation. Although not as physical as traditional sports, do you know that there are dangers that lurk in the world of eSports? Unlike athletes who are constantly exposed to physical activities, gamers' environment is pretty static. They often sit in front of a computer with their headphones for team communication and their hands moving here and there over the keyboard and the mouse with extreme speed in repititive motion etc. etc.. What we don't know is that there are plenty of dangers in these kind of set ups and here are some of them. ### Lung Problems

Due to poor posture by spending hours sitting in front of a computer or a console gamers unintentionally put pressure on their lungs. Some milder diseases are difficulty in breathing and aching back or shoulders. Serious cases such as pneumothorax or a collapsed lung on the other hand can be dangerous especially if not treated early. I also experienced sitting for hours in front of the computer playing DOTA 2 and LOL during my college days but thankfully I didn't experience such disease. Pneumothorax is when the air leak outside of the lung which is only felt by chest pain or shortness of breath. An article written by Nathan Grayson of Kotaku titled [Lung Collapses Are A Surprisingly Common Esports Injury](https://compete.kotaku.com/lung-collapses-are-a-surprisingly-common-esports-injury-1795731971) stated that pneumothorax is not something new to pro players. Although at that time there were not yet any scientific evidence or study to directly relate the disease to eSports a few doctors that he consulted inferred that because of the limited space the players tend to develop bad breathing habits which led to the disease. ### Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Carpal tunnel is not new to me. I had two friends back in college who had undergone a surgery because of carpal tunnel syndrome. Although I also had some experiences of numbness and tingling sensation near the wrist it didn't develop to a more serious disease like CT syndrome, I think it's because I did plenty of exercise and some martial arts along side with playing eSports. Carpal tunnel is far from being life threatening compared to pneumothorax but it can be a serious hassle. There might be other causes like injuries or being over weight but for gamers it's the repetitive motion of the hands. The effect of these repetitive motion over time accumulates and put pressure onto the median nerve which sends information from the hand to the brain and vice versa. If the message could not be relayed then a person could not use his hands properly, worst case is that he'd not be able to use it at all. ### Head Aches and Eye Problems

Head aches and eye problems might be one of the most common health issues when talking about the negative effects of eSports. It's not really unique to eSports per se but these types of symptoms also commonly occur on office workers who are often in front of their computers. I think these types of symptoms are more prevalent in eSports is because of the type of lighting used in their environment. Computer cafes and gaming studios often have these darker rooms as gaming environment which causes the eyes to have more focus on the screen. The radiation cannot disperse more so the eyes caught alot of it. ### Final Thoughts There are indeed dangers in playing eSports, especially related to health. Players should be more prudent in taking care of themselves while playing. Having some break for exercise is not really that bad. Stretching from time to time could also be a great help to reduce the risk of these diseases. Most cafes have soft drinks, beers and chips for snacks so controlling themselves by reducing the consumption of these snacks and eat more healthy foods like fruits an vegetables is very important if they want a body that can sustain their needs to play. ### Who said that all that chain yanking, yoga, meditation, push ups and sit ups doesn't pay off at the end! My entire family unit is decomposed, and now I can cater their needs EVEN BETTER!! --- Sorry guys and gals for being so absent, shit at home, a situation raining with crap, literally. My kid's diabetes went berserk as she is pre-pubercy, growing fast like out of a water, we are bathing in high sugars and insulin. Fairytale doesn't stop there. My husband got a nice stiff back from his job, I just spent last 6 hours massaging him like a maniac, many saints fell today, I barely can feel my arms and tomorrow morning I will either carry him on my arms to the hospital or he will be better so we will visit the doctor without me sacrificing my spine and internal organs. Not mentioning my ears, he is very laud. I hope you understand why I am not around, I will be of course back full power when I locate a little evil prick of a demon who caused this freaking shit storm. Till then, I have to finish my daily round of body torture, raw diet and patience. My Actifit Report Card: July 31 2019

It was an uneventful day. Woke up and prepared for work. As usual I walked to the office after i got down in town and I walked back to town and picked a cab home. Been a little busy this week so I havent been going for my evening walk around the neighborhood. Im still however staying healthy with Actifit

Healthy food is one of our specialties at the @gardenofeden.


Kimchi is just one of the fermented foods we create
that adds high-vibe nutrition to our epic everyday feasts.


Kimchi is often made with Napa Cabbage,
though this day we made our kimchi with a base of
shredded regular head cabbage because that's what we had on hand.

We soaked the cabbage for several hours in a salty brine
to break down the fibers a bit and get it ready for a
clean and healthy fermentation process.


After soaking, draining and rinsing the cabbage,
we added julienned carrots and chopped cauliflower and broccoli,
as well as a several handsful of green onions and chives from our garden.



We sliced up some red onion to add to the mix too.



Our huge bowl of vegetables took on a rainbow of colors and nutrients
for a batch big enough for our entire community for potentially weeks.



We added onion, garlic, ginger, chili pepper sauce, and cayenne to the food processor to make a hot and spicy sauce to mix with the veggies.




After mixing all the ingredients together well,
we put it all in a large crock,
and added enough water to cover the vegetables.



We covered the crock with a mesh cloth to keep out the bugs
yet let it breathe.



It will remain in the crock for about 2 weeks,
or until it is fermented to our liking.
We'll check it on occasion to be sure the vegetables are still
covered by the water, adding more as necessary to keep them submerged.



Our bodies are grateful for the nutrients and benefits of fermented foods,
as well as for the flavor this kimchi will add to so many of our meals.


Kimchi is great for a topping with so many foods.
Try it on almost everything....

sandwiches
salads
eggs/omeletes/quiches/frittatas
soup
quesadillas
cheese and crackers
burritos
pasta dishes
meats
and more...or just eat some with a fork!

Hearing Loss Remedies - Rough Draft 001

What are some of the natural remedies out there for improving our ears, our hearing? That's what I want to talk about in this article, today. Before I share some of the remedies and things that we can do, I want to share my own personal experience with this problem. # Correction & Prevention When you run into a problem, you can try to correct it, and you probably should try to correct it. You should try to fix it to some extent as the first thing you do. That can be a short-term goal. However, secondly, it is generally better to simultaneously seek after prevention. Below, I've listed a rough draft list of remedies for hearing loss. Some of these remedies may be correction and/or prevention based. Sometimes, both prevention and correction is necessary. It depends on the situation. But generally speaking, it's better to eat healthy, to sleep healthy, to breathe healthy, to think healthy, to exercise healthy, to feel healthy, to believe healthy, to talk healthy, and to live healthy. # My Experience I was born in 1985 in Oregon. I may have some autism. My older brother had his ear drums burst due to pressure when he was two years old. Blood came out of his ears. So, mom got him hearing tubes. When I was two, I got ear tubes as well. We both had hearing tubes until around the age of ten, which is when our hearing improved. So, I had trouble hearing until I was two. So, that means I had trouble learning to talk. On top of that, I was born with birth defects. I had speech therapy when I was nine and also during high school. I was homeschooled until high school. After that, I started improving even more and went on to attend 4 colleges. After that, I was an English Teacher in Vietnam. # TCS One of the birth defects I inherited is called [Treacher Collins Syndrome (TCS)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treacher_Collins_syndrome) which means an immaturely developed lower jaw; it also means, sometimes, a smaller external ear. Middle-ear bones may be misshaped. # CHL [Conductive Hearing Loss (CHL)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conductive_hearing_loss) may be due to, in part, some of these things which is a primary form of [Otosclerosis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otosclerosis) which means hearing-loss of lower frequencies, first, and then higher frequencies after that. Measles Virus RNA have been found in Otosclerosis patients, meaning a possible reason why they developed some hearing loss, to some extent at least. Otosclerosis may be related to [Paget's disease of bone](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paget%27s_disease_of_bone) which can be a component of [multisystem proteinopathy or Hereditary inclusion body myopathy.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hereditary_inclusion_body_myopathy) # Biology Issue Part of the problem may be in the biology, as ear canals, and drums, may be shaped differently, possibly more slanted or more odd than most ears. There may have been excessive buildup of fluids in the canals between the ears and the mouth. The buildup might be, to some extent, a symptom. So, in the short-run, you may want to simply attack the symptom. In my case, it was the fluids. Sometimes, even to this day, my ears can get clogged up like a stuffed nose. In other words, my ear problem might be related to my nose problems, AKA allergies. # Symptoms The nose problem might simply be, in part, a symptom. When your nose collects snot, it might be due to excessive amounts of germs, bacteria, viruses, small animals, waste material, and other things that was collected from your body. # The Source So, the root of the problem, the source, to the snot, is generally the collecting process of the germs, etc. So, blowing your nose is more a correction to a problem. A prevention would be to find ways not to have too many germs in your body in the first place. Some of this may be related to problems people might have with their ears. In this rough draft article, I simply want to highlight a few remedies, a few things, relating to the ears, things we can think about, food for thought.

If I would have listened to the doctors I don't think I would be here today!!!

I believe in the body as a whole, body, mind & soul.
If there is an imbalance we need to work on fixing that.
I know of the power of self-healing, believe in the power of nature & plants!
I injured my hand years back, cut the nerve, tendon & a vein. I was told back then I won't be able to use the hand in a normal way again & that my feeling in it won't return. I didn't believe it for a second & I was right, it turned out to be false!
Just like I didn't believe it when I was told that if I didn't do chemo &/or at least radiation I wouldn't be alive in 2 years.

I listened to MY inner voice
&
took an alternative path in my cancer therapy.
I had the greatest luck someone reached out to me helping me get my hands on RSO, Rick Simpson Oil, with it I kicked cancer in it's behind.

Their concept & their motto totally appealed to me, so I went there!
At the [BioMed - Hospital for Oncology, Hyperthermia, and Immunology](https://www.biomedklinik.de/english/) I went through the loco-regional hyperthermia, whole-body hyperthermia (Fevertherapy), learned about Enzymes & I was introduced to mistletoe injections which I had to give myself. I am really lucky to live in Germany, my health insurance paid!!

My personal regime for a long time was:
Taking RSO orally & as suppositories ( I made them with coconut oil, sorry if this may be tmi. I was told it's a better way to absorb the THC & since my cancer was below the stomach that would have a better effect ).

Taking Vitamin A, B12, D, Selen, Q10 & Enzymes.
*
Going on regular fruit fasts to cleanse my lymphatic system
*
I eat healthy food (a vegan/ alkaline diet, no processed foods)
*
Mistletoe injections
I've changed my regime a bit over the years, following my inner voice, body & sadly RSO is hard to get :( !

Now I :

Take Spirulina for Vitamin A, B12 & Protein, Vitamin D, I rotate taking Selen, Q10 & Enzymes
*
I still go on regular fruit fasts to cleanse my lymphatic system
*
I eat healthy food (a vegan/ alkaline diet, no processed foods)
I have always gotten enough exercise having 3 dogs & being in the garden growing veggies!

I needed to see myself in the future!
It takes a lot of self-control to not break out in panic, to stay focused & to keep listening to your inner voice let me tell you that!
To paint myself in the future, focus on something else & to make a dream come true, shortly after my diagnosis I signed up at [HOFA-College](https://hofa-college.de) to get my certification as an audio engineer which I did!
Currently, I am working to finish my diploma ( two more classes ) & then I am shooting for my Bachelors
